WEBSITE UPGRADE & BLOG DEVELOPMENT CONTRACT Project: BroadyGirlzCollective Website Upgrade 1. PROJECT OVERVIEW The purpose of this project is to upgrade and improve the overall BroadyGirlzCollective e-commerce website, including its appearance, organization, functionality, customer experience, and content capabilities. A major component of this project will be the creation, addition, configuration, and activation of a fully functional blog integrated into the existing website. The freelancer will complete the work directly within the existing website while preserving current products, customer information, integrations, payment settings, and other existing functionality unless a change is specifically authorized. 2. WEBSITE UPGRADE The freelancer will review the current website and complete an overall upgrade that includes: - Improve the overall professional appearance of the website. - Modernize the layout while maintaining the BroadyGirlzCollective brand identity. - Improve homepage organization and visual flow. - Ensure consistent fonts, spacing, buttons, images, and design elements. - Improve navigation and menu organization. - Review collection and product-page layouts. - Organize merchandise so customers can easily shop by relevant categories and seasonal collections. - Improve placement and visibility of sizing, shipping, return, and purchasing information. - Review cart and checkout-related customer navigation. - Remove outdated, unnecessary, duplicate, or incorrect promotional information. - Improve calls-to-action throughout the website. - Ensure promotional banners and announcements are properly displayed. - Check and repair broken links. - Optimize images where appropriate without materially reducing image quality. - Ensure the website displays properly on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. 3. BLOG CREATION, ADDITION & ACTIVATION The freelancer will create and activate a complete blog section within the BroadyGirlzCollective website. The blog must include: - Creation and configuration of the blog. - Addition of the blog to the website's main navigation. - A professionally designed blog landing page. - Individual blog post templates consistent with the website branding. - Featured images for blog posts. - Blog titles and publication dates. - Categories and/or tags where supported. - Social-sharing functionality where supported. - Links from blog posts to relevant products or collections. - SEO-friendly page titles, headings, URLs, and metadata. - Mobile-responsive formatting. - Testing to ensure blog pages and links function correctly. The blog must be live, visible, accessible, and functional before this portion of the project is considered complete. 4. INITIAL BLOG CONTENT The freelancer will create, format, and publish three initial blog posts to launch the blog. Topics should relate directly to BroadyGirlzCollective and its target audience and may include: 1. Plus-size and curvy fashion styling. 2. Seasonal fashion trends and transitioning from summer into fall. 3. Confidence, style, body positivity, and fashion for curvy women. Blog content must be original, professionally written, proofread, visually formatted, and optimized for search engines. Any AI-assisted content must be reviewed and edited for accuracy, readability, originality, and consistency with the BroadyGirlzCollective brand before publication. 5. SEO & WEBSITE DISCOVERABILITY As part of the website upgrade, the freelancer will perform basic on-page SEO improvements, including: - Review page titles and meta descriptions. - Improve heading structure. - Add or review image alt text. - Improve product and collection URLs where appropriate. - Ensure blog posts contain appropriate SEO titles and descriptions. - Improve internal linking between blogs, collections, and products. - Verify that important website pages are accessible to search engines. - Avoid unnecessary duplicate content. No freelancer may guarantee specific Google rankings, traffic levels, or sales results. 6. E-COMMERCE FUNCTIONALITY The freelancer will verify that existing shopping functionality remains operational following the upgrade, including: - Product pages. - Product variants and sizes. - Add-to-cart functionality. - Shopping cart. - Checkout navigation. - Shipping information. - Customer-facing policies and links. - Discount/promotional displays where applicable. The freelancer will not change payment processing, banking information, payout information, ownership information, domain ownership, or administrative ownership credentials without written authorization from the Client. 7. MOBILE OPTIMIZATION The freelancer will test the upgraded website on common desktop and mobile screen sizes. Special attention must be given to: - Homepage appearance. - Navigation menus. - Product images. - Product descriptions. - Blog pages. - Buttons. - Promotional banners. - Cart navigation. - Text readability. - Image sizing and alignment. 8. CLIENT APPROVAL Major design or structural changes must be submitted to the Client for approval. The freelancer should not permanently remove existing products, collections, pages, integrations, applications, or customer-facing functionality without Client approval. 9. TESTING & QUALITY CONTROL Before final delivery, the freelancer will conduct a website review to verify: - Website navigation works correctly. - Links are functioning. - Images display correctly. - Product pages function correctly. - Blog is active. - Blog navigation works. - Blog posts display correctly. - Website works on mobile and desktop. - No obvious placeholder text remains. - No obvious broken pages or unfinished sections remain. 10. PROJECT COMPLETION The project will not be considered complete solely because design work has been uploaded. Final completion requires: 1. Website upgrades to be implemented. 2. Blog to be created. 3. Blog to be added to website navigation. 4. Blog to be activated and publicly accessible. 5. Three initial blog posts to be published. 6. Website functionality to be tested. 7. Mobile and desktop versions to be reviewed. 8. Any agreed-upon corrections to be completed. 9. Final Client review and approval. 11. REVISIONS The contract includes two rounds of reasonable revisions related to the agreed project scope. Requests for entirely new pages, functionality, integrations, or features outside this scope may require a separate Upwork milestone or contract. 12. ACCESS & SECURITY The Client will provide the level of website access reasonably necessary to complete the project. The freelancer must: - Keep login information confidential. - Not share access with unauthorized third parties. - Not change ownership credentials. - Not change payout or banking information. - Not install unnecessary applications or paid services without approval. - Notify the Client before installing applications that create recurring charges. - Return or discontinue access at the completion of the project. 13. OWNERSHIP Upon full payment, all project-specific website design work, blog content, graphics specifically created for this project, configurations, and other agreed deliverables will belong to the Client, subject to any third-party software, themes, applications, fonts, stock assets, or platform licensing restrictions. The freelancer may not reuse confidential Client information, customer information, login credentials, or proprietary business materials. 14. COMMUNICATION Project communication, approvals, milestone discussions, and changes to the scope should be documented through Upwork whenever possible. The freelancer must notify the Client promptly if an issue could affect the project's timeline, functionality, cost, or deliverables. 15. FINAL HANDOFF At project completion, the freelancer will provide a brief handoff explaining: - How to create a new blog post. - How to edit an existing blog post. - How to add featured images. - How to add categories/tags where applicable. - How to link blog posts to products or collections. - Any applications or plugins added during the project. - Any ongoing maintenance recommendations. All website administrator access and ownership must remain under the Client's control. ACCEPTANCE By accepting this project through Upwork, the freelancer acknowledges that payment is based on completion of the agreed deliverables and milestones and that all work must meet the requirements described in this scope.
