Claude Code & AI Automation Developer Needed – End-to-End UK Accountancy Practice Platform

## Project Title **Claude Code Developer Needed to Automate a UK Accountancy Practice** ## Project Description We are a UK chartered accountancy and tax practice looking for an experienced developer to build an end-to-end AI automation platform using **Claude Code**. This is not a basic chatbot or simple no-code automation. We want a secure system that manages the full client journey, including: * New enquiries and lead management. * AML checks and client onboarding. * Engagement letters and electronic signatures. * Secure client document uploads. * Bookkeeping and reconciliations. * VAT returns. * Limited company accounts and corporation tax. * Self Assessment and sole trader accounts. * Workflow management and deadline tracking. * Client approvals, filing controls and billing. Our main principle is: **AI prepares the work, a human reviews and approves it, AI completes the approved action, and the system records a full audit trail.** The platform should include a staff dashboard and secure client portal. Staff should be able to view deadlines, job status, missing information, review points, payments and approvals. Clients should be able to upload documents, answer queries, review accounts and tax returns, approve documents and download completed work. The system must prevent AI from independently filing returns, approving accounts, sending sensitive advice or making material changes without human approval. We currently use: * IRIS Accounts Production. * IRIS Personal Tax. * IRIS Practice Management. * Microsoft 365. * Excel. * Xero where required. Possible integrations may include HMRC, Companies House, Creditsafe, electronic signatures, payments and document storage. Applicants should have experience with: * Claude Code and Anthropic APIs. * AI agents and tool calling. * Python and/or TypeScript. * API integrations. * Document processing and OCR. * Secure databases and client portals. * Role-based permissions. * Human-in-the-loop approvals. * Audit trails and UK GDPR.
