Python code for material takeoff out of FreeCAD 3D models

Need to write python code to accurately calculate framing lumber and hardware out of a single family house 3D model in FreeCAD. This is a recurring task for each individual construction project that involves framing. This task will further expand to other disciplines, such as foundation, drywall, roofing, electrical, plumbing, etc.
