QuickBooks Online Accountant & Bookkeeper Needed

I’m looking to hire a highly skilled QuickBooks Online accountant to clean up and fix my books. My previous bookkeeper left things messy and I need someone who can resolve the issues accurately and efficiently. If this goes well I will need you as my monthly bookkeeper as well. Business Info • I have a very Small Canadian sole proprietorship (basically just one client) • Virtually stopped operating in February 2022 • Last GST/HST return filed: July–Sept 2023 • I want to deregister/cancel my GST since the business no longer earns income Current Problems to Fix 1. Balance Sheet GST/HST Payable is showing a large incorrect amount even though all GST up to Sept 2023 has been paid 2. GST/HST Summary Report (Line 113C Balance) does NOT match the GST/HST Payable balance on the Balance Sheet Need a full reconciliation to ensure every GST filing matches: • Collected tax • ITCs • Payments made to CRA Guidance on GST cancellation and ensuring no outstanding liabilities Who I’m Looking For • Expert in QuickBooks Online • Deep experience cleaning up messy files, especially GST/HST mismatch issues • Knows how to reconcile GST filings to the Balance Sheet • Can review past filings and correct historic errors • Must know how to do year end journal entries and adjustments • My be very familiar with Canadian bookkeeping, accounting and GAAP. Must be willing to be tested on your accounting/bookeeping, and AI won't help you.
