Senior Full Stack Developer Audit

Type: 60-minute live meeting via Zoom Format: Remote, live screen sharing Focus: Claude Code, VS Code, GitHub, and application deployment Overview We're looking to hire an experienced full-stack developer to advise our team as we transition to AI-assisted software development using tools such as Claude Code, VS Code, and GitHub. Our team has experience with traditional development (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) and is transitioning toward modern application development using TypeScript, Node.js, and Ruby, with AI handling much of the code generation. The focus is not on learning programming languages, but on understanding how to use modern development tools effectively, establish best practices, manage source code, and deploy applications to real-world production environments. The engagement will begin with a one-hour consultation, with plans to schedule four additional hands-on mentoring sessions to provide ongoing guidance as the team puts these tools and workflows into practice. These will be scheduled separately in the future. This should be a quick and easy project for an experienced developer. This position requires someone with stable, high-speed internet and fluency in English. The timing will be arranged via mutually agreed time. Topics to Cover Claude Code & VS Code: Recommended setup, configuration, extensions, CLAUDE.md files, and best practices for AI-assisted development. We already have deep experience in Claude. GitHub & Version Control: Repository management, branching strategies, pull requests, merging, and managing staging and production environments. Application Deployment: Practical workflows for deploying applications to Railway, Vercel, or DigitalOcean, including GitHub integration and automated deployments. Development Best Practices: Environment variables, secrets management, database migrations, deployment workflows, and safely managing AI-generated code. Ideal Consultant Experienced full-stack developer who regularly uses Claude Code for real-world application development. Strong working knowledge of VS Code, Git, GitHub, and modern development practices. Experience deploying and maintaining production applications on Railway, Vercel, or DigitalOcean. Able to demonstrate workflows through live screen sharing and provide practical recommendations. Comfortable advising an experienced technical team transitioning from traditional development practices to AI-assisted development. Available for follow-up mentoring sessions focused on practical implementation and troubleshooting. Desired Outcome Establish a clear, repeatable workflow for developing applications with Claude Code, managing source code through GitHub, and safely deploying applications to staging and production environments. The initial consultation should focus on recommended tools, setup, and workflows. Subsequent mentoring sessions will provide opportunities for hands-on implementation, troubleshooting, and reviewing actual development projects. The emphasis should be on practical, hands-on guidance, rather than introductory programming instruction or high-level presentations. Interested consultants should provide a brief overview of their Claude Code experience, deployment platforms used, hourly consultation rate, and availability for ongoing mentoring sessions.
