Senior Full-Stack Developer for Mining Platform

RGT Industries is seeking a South Africa-based Senior Full-Stack Developer / Solutions Architect to convert our AI-generated dashboard mock-ups and defined engineering workflows into a functional, presentation-ready proof of concept for a mining digital engineering platform. Timeline and availability This is a time-sensitive engagement. We require the functional proof of concept to be completed within 7–14 calendar days. Applicants must be available to start immediately and should confirm in their proposal that they can meet this delivery timeframe. The initial build will be limited to one complete asset-integrity workflow and approximately six to eight core screens. This phase is intended to demonstrate how the proposed dashboard, engineering information and workflow would function. It is not a production-system implementation. Platform requirements The platform should provide portfolio-level and asset-specific dashboards for civil and structural assets, with drill-down access to: asset registers and structural hierarchies; asset profiles and technical information; inspection and NDT records; engineering assessment reports; photographs, drawings and technical documents; 3D or LiDAR-based asset views; findings, defects and condition ratings; engineering decisions and recommendations; intervention tracking, responsible persons and due dates; QA/QC and verification evidence; technical close-out records; and future inspection and monitoring requirements. The proof of concept should demonstrate one complete workflow: Asset selection → condition evidence → finding → engineering disposition → intervention → verification → closure → dashboard update The dashboard figures and statuses must update from the underlying workflow rather than being presented as static visuals. Scope of work The selected consultant will be expected to: review the existing mock-ups and functional requirements; recommend an appropriate technology stack and system architecture; design a simple but scalable asset and engineering-data model; develop the front-end and back-end components; create interactive portfolio and asset-level dashboards; implement basic user roles and access controls; develop workflows for findings, engineering decisions, interventions and verification; enable document and supporting-evidence uploads; include a basic 3D or digital asset view where practical; deploy the proof of concept to a stable demonstration environment; test and correct the agreed functionality; and provide all source code, deployment instructions and technical documentation to RGT Industries. Out of scope for this phase The following are not required during the initial proof-of-concept build: live SAP integration; live Passport360 integration; live SCADA integration; structural sensor integration; advanced LiDAR or point-cloud processing; predictive analytics; mobile application development; mine-wide asset configuration; and production-level cybersecurity certification. The proposed architecture should, however, allow for these capabilities to be considered during future development phases. Required experience Applicants should have demonstrated experience in: full-stack web application development; interactive dashboards and data visualisation; React, Angular, Vue or a comparable front-end framework; Node.js, Python, Java, .NET or a comparable back-end technology; relational databases and API design; authentication and role-based access control; document-heavy or workflow-based applications; cloud deployment; Git and source-code management; and translating mock-ups and business requirements into functional software. Experience with engineering systems, asset management, mining, BIM, IFC, LiDAR, 3D viewers, SAP, SCADA or IoT data would be advantageous. Civil and structural engineering decisions will remain under the authority of an ECSA-registered Professional Engineer. The developer will be responsible for translating the approved engineering workflows into the digital platform.
