Senior Full-Stack Developer | Next.js, Node.js, MongoDB (Real Estate Platform)

Project Overview We're looking for an experienced Senior Full-Stack Developer to build and enhance a real estate web platform using Next.js, Node.js, and MongoDB. The platform will help real estate teams manage property listings, track property opportunities, visualize locations on an interactive map, and provide secure access to property data for different clients and organizations. We need someone who can take ownership of the development process, build a scalable architecture, integrate third-party services, and deliver a reliable, production-ready application. Scope of Work 1. Frontend Development - Build a responsive web application using Next.js and React. - Develop clean, user-friendly interfaces for property search, listing details, dashboards, and administrative workflows. - Implement reusable components and responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile. - Build search, filtering, sorting, pagination, and property detail views. 2. Interactive Property Map - Integrate Mapbox or Google Maps to display property locations. - Show property markers based on their current status and category. - Support map-based property search, filters, and location-based navigation. - Display property details when users select a marker. - Keep map results and property listings synchronized. 3. Property Management System - Create and manage property records, including addresses, coordinates, ownership information, status, and relevant metadata. - Support property status categories such as: - Work won - Owned by existing clients - Inspection or proposal in progress - Relationship in progress - Available to pursue - Implement workflows for creating, updating, reviewing, and tracking properties. 4. Authentication and Role-Based Access - Implement secure authentication and authorization. - Support administrator and client accounts. - Allow administrators to manage users, organizations, assigned markets, and property access. - Ensure each client can access only the properties and information authorized for their organization and assigned markets. - Enforce permissions on the backend, not just in the user interface. 5. Backend and Database Development - Build REST APIs using Node.js and Express.js. - Design a scalable MongoDB database structure for properties, users, organizations, markets, and status history. - Implement validation, error handling, logging, and secure API access. - Optimize database queries and API performance as the platform grows. 6. Third-Party Integrations - Integrate external property data from LightBox, subject to API or bulk-feed availability and access credentials. - Support property data imports, updates, and duplicate detection. - Integrate GoHighLevel (GHL) to connect property records with relevant contacts, companies, or opportunities. - Handle API errors, synchronization failures, and conflicting or duplicate records. - Document integration workflows and any required configuration. 7. Admin Dashboard and Data Management - Build an administrative dashboard to manage users, markets, properties, and status categories. - Provide tools for importing data, reviewing updates, and resolving potential duplicate records. - Include basic activity tracking and clear error reporting for failed imports or integrations. 8. Testing, Deployment, and Documentation - Test key workflows, permissions, integrations, and responsive layouts. - Fix bugs and optimize application performance. - Configure deployment and environment variables. - Provide technical documentation and handover instructions. Required Skills - Strong experience with Next.js and React. - Strong backend development experience with Node.js and Express.js. - Production experience with MongoDB and database design. - Experience building secure multi-user applications with role-based access control. - Experience with interactive maps using Mapbox or Google Maps. - Experience integrating third-party REST APIs and handling data synchronization. - Familiarity with authentication, deployment
