UI/UX Designer for Game-Grade Operator Interfaces

We are a European deep-tech product company building real-time operational software. Dense, HUD-style operator consoles: live map layers, streaming sensor data, mission timelines, node graphs, AI decision panels. Not marketing pages. We are hiring a contract UI/UX designer who can both design the screens and ship the front end. WHAT YOU WILL DO - Design operator console screens in Figma against an existing dark design system - Implement them yourself in TypeScript, Next.js App Router, Tailwind and Radix/shadcn - Build map layer UI on deck.gl or Mapbox GL, and node graph UI on ReactFlow - Motion and micro-interaction work in Framer Motion or GSAP - Hold 60fps with hundreds of live entities on screen MUST HAVE - Shipped game UI, simulation UI, trading, telemetry or command-and-control interfaces - Strong TypeScript and React. You implement, you do not just hand off - Fluent written and spoken English - Based in Europe: Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Moldova, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal, Spain, Germany or the Netherlands NICE TO HAVE - WebGL or shader work - Dense data visualisation experience HOW WE WORK Ongoing contract, remote, roughly 20 to 40 hours a week. Because of the nature of the product we sign a short mutual NDA before sharing any product detail. After the NDA we run one paid, fixed-fee test screen before any longer engagement.
