WordPress & Shopify Developer

About the Role We're looking for an experienced WordPress & Shopify Developer who can build modern, high-converting websites using Elementor and Shopify, while also writing custom code whenever needed. This is not a simple page-builder or Shopify theme-editing role. You'll be expected to take rough ideas, text wireframes, Figma designs, or existing websites and turn them into polished, responsive websites and eCommerce experiences that generate leads, drive sales, and function flawlessly. You'll also be responsible for connecting forms, CRMs, automations, payment systems, analytics, and third-party tools so every lead or customer reaches the correct destination. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, pays attention to details, and takes ownership of projects. This is an ongoing freelance opportunity with consistent work for the right person. What You'll Be Doing: - WordPress Development - Build responsive websites using Elementor - Convert Figma, PSD, Adobe XD or wireframes into WordPress - Create landing pages and complete business websites - Maintain clean layouts with strong UX and conversion principles - Optimize for desktop, tablet and mobile - Customize WordPress themes and plugins - Build and customize WooCommerce websites Shopify Development: - Build and customize Shopify stores - Customize Shopify themes based on Figma, PSD, wireframes, or existing designs - Develop responsive product, collection, cart, and checkout experiences - Customize Shopify Liquid templates - Write custom HTML/CSS/JavaScript when required - Configure Shopify apps and integrations - Customize product, variant, collection, and navigation structures - Work with Shopify forms, analytics, tracking, and third-party integrations - Troubleshoot Shopify theme and app-related issues - Improve Shopify store performance and conversion experience Custom Development: - Write custom HTML/CSS/JavaScript when Elementor or Shopify isn't enough - Build custom PHP functionality inside WordPress - Work with Shopify Liquid for theme customization - Customize themes and lightweight plugins/apps - Troubleshoot WordPress and Shopify issues - Improve performance and Core Web Vitals Forms & Integrations: - Configure contact forms - Connect websites and Shopify stores with CRMs - Map form fields correctly - Configure email notifications - Build Zapier automations - Troubleshoot API integrations - Configure third-party tools and applications - Ensure leads and customer data reach the correct pipelines Ongoing Website Support: - Website and Shopify store updates - Bug fixes - Content changes - Landing page creation - Product and collection updates - Technical troubleshooting - Small feature requests - Theme and plugin/app updates What We're Looking For: Required: - 4+ years of WordPress development - Strong Elementor experience - Strong Shopify development experience - Experience with Shopify Liquid - Excellent HTML & CSS - Strong JavaScript - PHP for WordPress customization - Responsive development - Experience converting designs into websites - Experience with WooCommerce and/or Shopify eCommerce - Strong attention to detail - Good English communication - Ability to work independently Bonus Skills: - Figma - ACF Pro - Crocoblock - WooCommerce - Shopify Apps & APIs - Shopify Storefront customization - RankMath / Yoast - Zapier - HighLevel - HubSpot - Salesforce - Performance optimization - Local SEO knowledge Ideal Candidate: - You enjoy figuring things out. - When Elementor can't do something, you write code. - When Shopify's default functionality isn't enough, you know how to customize the theme or build the required solution. - When a form breaks, you fix it. - When a design isn't perfect, you improve it. - When a client sends a rough sketch, you know how to turn it into something professional. - You understand that a website or store needs to perform, not just look good. - We're looking for someone who takes ownership instead of waiting for instructions every step of the way.
