I run a custom software development studio. I’m looking for an API Integration Developer with strong past experience and relevant case studies. I’m actively sourcing service providers with proven results in this space. Please include 2-3 links to relevant past work or describe a project you've done that achieved measurable outcomes (time saved, cost saved, or revenue generated).
Project Scope: Connect a central workflow tool to government and third-party logistics APIs (FMCSA, Carrier411, or Highway). Build automated conditional logic that verifies carrier insurance, validates MC numbers, and flags high-risk accounts instantly.
Fraud and double-brokering are massive risks in our operations. We need a backend developer to build a tool that verifies carrier insurance, validates FMCSA data/MC numbers, and flags potential fraudulent activity before we book a load.
Key Deliverables:
- Build an intake tool that pulls data from a carrier's MC/DOT number via compliance APIs (like FMCSA, Carrier411, or Highway API).
- Set up automated validation rules (e.g., flag if the carrier has been active for less than 90 days, check insurance status, check safety ratings).
- Create a clean "Pass/Fail/Flagged" visual alert on our central dashboard.
Required Skills:
- Experience working with Government data portals or third-party compliance APIs.
- Strong Python, Node.js, or advanced Make.com capability.
- Deep understanding of data validation and conditional logic.
BONUS: Prior experience with logistics tech, brokerage logistics, or carrier logistics.
