Forward Deployed Engineer (AI-native)

Monet builds the checkout for fast-growing e-commerce brands: checkout pages, one-click upsells, payments, and the order and customer data behind them. Brands with nine-figure revenue already run live orders through us, and new brands are lining up faster than we can onboard them. We're looking for two exceptional engineers to help us ship our next platform generation fast. **How we build** We work AI-first. Instead of writing long specs, you let coding agents build a first version in hours, test it on staging the way a merchant would, and iterate until it's right. Speed only counts if it holds up in production: we're moving real money, so you back what you ship with tests and you verify it end to end before it goes live. If you already work this way every day and can show us how, let's talk. **What you'll do** • Own whole features end to end: payments, upsells, refunds, subscriptions, merchant dashboard • Ship to production several times a day, close to real brands and real orders • When something breaks in production, you're on it within minutes and fix the cause, not just the symptom • Work directly with our lead engineer and the founders, no layers in between **Must have** • Strong full-stack TypeScript with real production experience • An AI-first workflow you use every day (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or similar) and can show us • Solid Postgres and SQL • Experience building payment or order flows: webhooks, idempotency, retries, multi-step async processes • You write automated tests as part of shipping, not afterwards • Available for production incidents and at least 4 hours overlap with Central European Time • Fluent English **Nice to have** • Edge or serverless runtimes • Shopify Admin API • Payment providers such as Stripe, PayPal, Klarna, Adyen or Mollie • Next.js and React • Conversion tracking (GA4, Meta Conversions API, GTM) **What we offer** • 20 to 60 USD per hour depending on experience, plus a performance bonus tied to milestones • Freelance to start, with the option to go full-time • Fully remote • Real impact from day one in a small team that ships every day • A product with paying customers and live volume, not a slide deck **How we hire** 1.
