Full Stack Developer Company: Edgeutech Global Pty Ltd Location: Remote Contract Reports to: Founder About Us Edgeutech Global is building a gamified educational PWA product for a youth audience. We're a lean, founder-led team looking for a full stack developer to strengthen our in-house technical capability. Tech Stack Backend: Node.js Database: MySQL (or equivalent relational DB) Infrastructure: AWS Frontend: React, PWA (mobile-first, installable) What We're Looking For Required: • Solid hands-on experience with React and Node.js in production applications • Experience with relational databases (MySQL or similar), including designing schemas for role-based access, tiered logic, or configurable content • Experience building or maintaining PWAs (service workers, offline/installable behaviour, mobile-first responsive design) • Comfort working with AWS or similar infrastructure (deployment, storage, basic ops) • Ability to translate detailed written product specs into working systems with precision • Strong communication skills — able to explain technical trade-offs in plain language to a non-technical founder Strongly preferred: • Experience with gamification systems (points, levels, unlocks, badges, streaks, leaderboards, or similar) • Experience with multi-tenant or role-based access architectures (e.g., different account types with different permissions/hierarchies) • Familiarity with EdTech products • Experience working alongside an external development vendor/agency, including reviewing technical specs or statements of work for scope and completeness • Experience with a Node.js framework (e.g., Express, NestJS) Nice to have: • Experience building admin dashboards with configurable, non-technical content management • Interest in education or youth-focused products Key Attributes We Value • Precision over speed on core logic. We prioritize systems where new content can be added without code changes, and we value engineers who protect that principle rather than erode it for short-term convenience. • Global-first mindset. Our product avoids region-specific assumptions (currency, laws, cultural references) baked into code or data. Responsibilities • Build and maintain backend services and data models for a role-based, multi-account-type platform • Contribute to and safeguard a content-driven architecture that allows non-technical content updates without code changes • Develop and maintain PWA front-end features across multiple user types • Participate in technical reviews of vendor specs/documentation to confirm scope and catch gaps or contradictions • Write clean, documented, maintainable code with an eye toward long-term extensibility • Collaborate with (or independently manage, depending on scope) our external development partner
