I am looking for a React Native / Expo developer to perform a technical audit of an existing mobile marketplace application called Narii.
Narii is a mobile-first application intended initially for French Polynesia. The application is already under development and must not be rebuilt from scratch. The interface and content are mainly in French, but I can provide translated instructions when necessary.
Current technology stack:
* React Native
* Expo
* TypeScript
* Supabase
* Cloudflare R2 for media storage
* GitHub
* iOS and Android
The application currently includes or is planned to include:
* user authentication and profiles;
* a public marketplace;
* product listing creation and management;
* images and photo carousels;
* public seller storefronts;
* search, categories and location filters;
* messaging, favorites and notifications;
* subscription plans;
* additional future modules for services, food, tourism activities and transportation.
The application has been developed partly with Bolt AI. It is functional in several areas, but it still contains bugs, inconsistent behavior, duplicated logic and unfinished features. I need an experienced developer who can carefully understand and improve the existing project without unnecessarily rebuilding working parts.
First milestone: technical audit
The initial fixed-price contract is for an audit of the existing application.
The selected developer will be expected to:
1. Review the current React Native / Expo and TypeScript codebase.
2. Run and test the application on mobile environments.
3. Inspect the architecture, navigation and reusable components.
4. Review the Supabase database structure, authentication, RLS policies and queries.
5. Review the Cloudflare R2 image-upload and deletion workflow.
6. Identify critical bugs, security risks, performance issues and inconsistent data flows.
7. Check for duplicate, obsolete or poorly structured code.
8. Assess the current readiness of the application for iOS and Android production builds.
9. Provide a prioritized report separating:
* critical launch blockers;
* important corrections;
* recommended improvements;
* optional future work.
10. Provide a realistic estimate of the time and cost required to complete the application.
Expected deliverables for this first milestone:
* a written technical audit;
* a prioritized list of bugs and risks;
* recommendations for the project architecture;
* a proposed development roadmap;
* estimated time and cost for each major phase;
* a video call or written explanation of the findings.
Please do not make major changes, delete database records or modify production infrastructure without my prior approval. Any proposed correction must preserve the existing data and working functionality.
Required experience:
* strong React Native and Expo experience;
* TypeScript;
* Supabase, PostgreSQL and Row Level Security;
* mobile authentication;
* media upload and cloud storage;
* debugging an existing application;
* publishing applications for iOS and Android;
* Git and GitHub.
Experience with Cloudflare R2 and projects created or assisted by AI development tools would be a strong advantage.
When applying, please include:
* examples of similar React Native / Expo applications;
* your experience with Supabase;
* your approach to auditing an existing codebase;
* confirmation that you are comfortable working with a French-language application;
* confirmation that you can begin with a limited audit milestone before any larger development contract.
This first contract is intended to evaluate the application and establish a reliable roadmap. Additional milestones may be offered afterward if the collaboration is successful.
