Senior Full-Stack Engineer / Desktop Software Architect (Electron)

SUMMARY We are building a next-generation cross-border e-commerce platform that enables customers to browse supported US retailers through a unified shopping experience. Customers can explore products, add items to a unified cart, complete checkout on our platform, and have orders fulfilled through our warehouse network. We are looking for a Senior Electron Engineer with proven experience building desktop applications that integrate with modern web applications and backend services. This is a senior-level role. WHAT YOU WILL BUILD Design and develop a cross-platform desktop application for Windows and macOS using Electron Build a secure embedded browser experience for supported retailer websites. Develop retailer-specific integration modules that identify product information, variants, pricing, and availability selected by users. Build a centralized retailer configuration system that allows integration updates without requiring users to reinstall the application. Design secure backend APIs that receive and validate product data before adding items to the user's cart. Collaborate with our backend team to build a scalable architecture using Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Redis. REQUIRED SKILLS Strong JavaScript and TypeScript experience. Years of production experience with Electron. Experience building desktop applications that interact with modern web applications. Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, DOM, browser events, and JavaScript execution. Experience building REST APIs using Node.js (NestJS or Express preferred). Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL. Strong understanding of browser security concepts, authentication, sessions, cookies, JWT, OAuth, CORS, and secure application design. NICE TO HAVE Experience building browser extensions. Experience developing mobile applications with embedded WebViews. Experience with CI/CD and desktop application auto-updates. Experience working on large-scale e-commerce or retail platforms.
