Senior Technical Operations Engineer (Web Development & Infrastructure)

EWR Digital is a fast-growing digital marketing agency supporting businesses across multiple industries. We are looking for a proactive, highly organized Senior Technical Operations Engineer who can own technical execution across websites, hosting, integrations, and infrastructure. This is not a task-only developer role. We are looking for someone who can think critically, solve problems independently, communicate proactively, and take ownership of projects from start to finish. Responsibilities Website Development - Build, maintain, and optimize WordPress websites. - Troubleshoot website issues, plugin conflicts, and performance problems. - Develop custom WordPress functionality when needed. - Perform website migrations between hosting providers. - Manage staging and production environments. - Optimize website performance and Core Web Vitals. - Maintain website security and ongoing updates. Hosting & Server Administration - Manage WHM/cPanel, Cloudflare, DNS records, SSL certificates, and hosting environments. - Troubleshoot server, email, and DNS issues. - Configure domains, subdomains, redirects, and email routing. - Monitor uptime, backups, and overall server health. API & Systems Integrations - Build and maintain API integrations. - Create automations using tools such as Make, Zapier, GoHighLevel, HubSpot, Stripe, and QuickBooks Online. - Troubleshoot integration failures and document technical implementations. Technical Support - Resolve technical issues across multiple client accounts. - Troubleshoot Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, email deliverability, DNS, hosting, and website issues. - Research solutions independently and recommend the best approach. - Escalate risks before they become client issues. Project Ownership - Manage multiple technical projects simultaneously. - Estimate timelines accurately. - Keep Hubstaff tasks updated with accurate notes and progress. - Communicate project status proactively. - Notify project management immediately when priorities change or blockers arise. Requirements - Must speak, read, and write English fluently. Excellent verbal and written communication is required. - Must be available to work full-time during U.S. Central Time (CST) business hours. - Minimum 5 years of WordPress development experience. - Strong experience with hosting, DNS, Cloudflare, cPanel/WHM, and server administration. - Experience with APIs, automations, Stripe, QuickBooks Online, and third-party integrations. - Able to manage multiple client projects simultaneously. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills.
