Project Overview We are seeking an experienced WordPress Developer to conduct a comprehensive website maintenance, optimisation and technical health check of our existing website. The objective is to ensure our website is fully functional, technically sound, SEO-optimised, efficient and free from unnecessary plugins and duplicate files. We are looking for someone who can work independently, identify potential issues and implement practical solutions without disrupting the existing website design, content or functionality. Scope of Work 1. WordPress Plugin Updates & Optimisation Review all currently installed plugins. Update plugins to their latest stable versions. Ensure compatibility between all plugins, WordPress core, theme and PHP version. Identify and remove unused, redundant or unnecessary plugins. Identify and resolve plugin conflicts or technical issues. Ensure all existing website features continue to work correctly. 2. SEO Setup & Optimisation Conduct an SEO audit of the existing website. Implement essential on-page SEO improvements. Optimise page titles, meta descriptions and heading structures. Review image ALT tags, URLs and internal linking. Check XML sitemap, indexing and search engine visibility. Identify and address basic technical SEO issues. 3. Media Library Clean-up Identify duplicate and unnecessary media files. Remove duplicate files safely without affecting images or media currently used on the website. Identify unused media where practical. Improve media library organisation where necessary. 4. Website-Wide Testing & Technical Audit Thoroughly test all website pages. Check desktop, tablet and mobile responsiveness. Test all navigation menus, links, buttons, forms and interactive features. Identify and fix broken links, missing images, display errors and functionality issues. Check website loading speed and performance. Identify and resolve any other technical issues affecting website stability, security or user experience. Expected Deliverables All plugins updated, compatible and unnecessary plugins removed. Essential SEO improvements implemented. Duplicate media files safely removed. All website pages and key functionalities tested. Identified technical issues resolved.
