Webhook Middleware Developer – Wolf & Badger to Locad Integration

We need a lightweight middleware service built and hosted to connect two existing platforms - Wolf & Badger (a retail order platform) and Locad (our fulfilment partner). Wolf & Badger sends an outbound webhook (order.ready_to_ship) containing order data and Base64-encoded shipping documents (label, packing slip, waybill). Your service needs to: 1. Receive and verify the incoming webhook using HMAC-SHA256 signature verification (X-WB-SIGNATURE header) 2. Decode the Base64-encoded PDF files 3. Forward the decoded files and tracking details to Locad's OpenAPI Custom Webstore endpoint via a multipart form-data POST request Full technical specs for both platforms will be shared with the right candidate. What we're looking for: - Strong experience with Node.js or Python for backend/API work - Experience with webhook integrations, HMAC signature verification, and multipart form-data requests - Comfortable hosting a small, reliable service (serverless functions like AWS Lambda or Google Cloud Functions are a plus) - Bonus: prior experience integrating Shopify or similar order-sync platforms Deliverable: a working, hosted middleware service that reliably passes data between both platforms, plus brief documentation on how it works and how to redeploy/maintain it.
