We have an existing project built with Next.js (frontend) and Strapi (headless CMS backend) that currently has a number of bugs and performance issues. We're looking for an experienced full-stack developer to:
Review the codebase — study the existing Next.js and Strapi project structure, identify bugs, inconsistencies, and potential issues before making any changes.
Fix bugs — resolve the issues found during the review (frontend and backend).
Optimize NGINX configuration — set up and tune NGINX on our server to improve performance (caching, gzip/brotli compression, load handling, reverse proxy settings, etc.).
Scope of work:
Initial code review with a short written summary of found issues and proposed fixes
Bug fixing in Next.js (frontend) and Strapi (backend/API)
NGINX server configuration/optimization for better performance and stability
Basic testing to confirm fixes work as expected
Requirements:
Solid experience with Next.js and React
Experience with Strapi (or similar headless CMS)
Experience configuring and optimizing NGINX on production servers
Ability to read and understand an existing codebase quickly
Good communication — please share your approach before starting bug fixes
Nice to have:
Experience with Linux server administration
Experience with performance profiling/monitoring tools
Deliverables:
Short review report with the list of found issues
Fixed and tested code (pushed to our repo)
Updated NGINX config with a brief explanation of changes made
How to apply:
Please share relevant experience with Next.js, Strapi, and NGINX, along with examples of similar projects you've worked on.
