Network automation engineer

​Job Title: Network Automation Engineer (NetDevOps Specialist) ​Project Summary : ​We are seeking an expert Network Automation Engineer to lead the transformation of our network operations from manual, CLI-based management to a programmable, automated infrastructure. The successful candidate will architect and implement scalable automation workflows that enhance operational efficiency, reduce human error, and ensure consistent infrastructure state. This is a strategic role requiring a seamless blend of deep networking knowledge and high-level software engineering discipline. ​-Scope of Work ​-Infrastructure Automation: Architect and deploy automated CI/CD pipelines for network configuration and deployment. ​-Programmable Networking: Develop robust Python-based solutions to interface with network infrastructure via REST APIs and SSH/Netmiko/NAPALM. -​Configuration Management: Standardize and manage network device configurations using tools such as Ansible or Terraform. ​-Operational Excellence: Implement automated monitoring, alerting, and drift detection to maintain high availability and security compliance. ​-Knowledge Transfer: Provide clear, concise documentation and technical guidance to ensure sustainable infrastructure maintenance. ​-Technical Requirements : ​-Network Foundations: Active CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or higher; deep expertise in routing/switching, BGP, OSPF, and VLAN architectures. ​-Software Proficiency: Demonstrated professional experience in software engineering, with a focus on writing modular, testable, and maintainable Python code. ​-Automation Ecosystem: Proven track record utilizing Git for version control, Ansible/Terraform for IaC, and Linux-based orchestration. ​-Diagnostic Capability: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot complex network issues at the intersection of hardware, software, and protocol layers. ​-Communication: High degree of proficiency in English for technical documentation and collaboration. ​Application Instructions ​Please include the following in your proposal to demonstrate your alignment with our requirements: ​-Technical Portfolio: Provide a link to your GitHub or specific examples of network automation scripts you have architected and deployed. ​-Strategic Approach: Describe your methodology for ensuring high availability when automating updates to mission-critical network infrastructure. ​-Experience Validation: Confirm your active CCNA status and outline your experience with Cisco enterprise environments.
