Full Stack AI Engineer Needed for Fintech App Development

We are looking for an experienced **Full Stack AI Engineer** to help build and ship a fintech application that combines AI-powered financial insights with core banking and payments infrastructure. This is a **long-term contract role** for someone who can work independently, communicate clearly, and take ownership of features from backend architecture to frontend implementation. ## Project Overview We are building a fintech platform that includes AI-driven financial insights, secure financial data integrations, dashboards, alerts, and payment-related workflows. You will help us develop and integrate features end-to-end, including LLM-powered backend services, RAG systems, secure APIs, and responsive user interfaces. ## Responsibilities You will be responsible for: * Building AI features such as LLM pipelines, RAG systems, fraud detection tools, and financial forecasting workflows * Developing secure backend APIs using Python/FastAPI or Node.js * Integrating with financial data providers such as Plaid, Stripe, or similar platforms * Building frontend dashboards and user interfaces using React/Next.js * Connecting to real-time data feeds, banking/payment APIs, and financial infrastructure * Working with PostgreSQL and vector databases such as pgvector, Pinecone, or similar * Ensuring code follows strong security practices suitable for fintech applications * Supporting compliance-related technical requirements such as PCI-DSS and SOC 2 where applicable ## Required Skills Please apply only if you have strong experience with: * React/Next.js * Python/FastAPI or Node.js * LLMs and AI frameworks such as OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, or LlamaIndex * PostgreSQL and vector databases * REST and GraphQL API design * Cloud deployment on AWS, GCP, or Azure * Docker and/or Kubernetes * Financial APIs such as Plaid, Stripe, or similar * Secure development practices for sensitive financial data ## Nice to Have Experience with any of the following is a plus: * PCI-DSS, SOC 2, KYC, or AML workflows * Kafka, WebSockets, or real-time data streaming * Previous work at a fintech, neobank, payments company, or financial services company ## Engagement Details * **Job Type:** Long-term contract * **Estimated Hours:** 30–40 hours per week * **Budget:** $75–$125/hour, depending on experience * **Availability:** Some overlap with US business hours is preferred, especially EST or PST ## What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who: * Has a proven track record building full-stack applications * Has shipped AI/LLM features in production * Can communicate proactively and flag blockers early * Can work independently without heavy hand-holding * Understands the importance of security, reliability, and compliance in fintech ## To Apply Please include answers to the following questions in your proposal: 1.
