AI Voice Receptionist (AI Voice Agent) for Multi-Location Clinics

We run a group of clinics across several locations and our front desk cannot keep up with phone volume. Calls get missed during busy hours, patients hang up on hold, and after-hours callers reach a voicemail nobody checks until morning. We want to fix this with an AI voice receptionist, and we are looking for an experienced AI engineer who can own the build end to end. What the AI voice receptionist should do: Answer inbound calls with a natural, real-time voice — fast responses, no awkward delays Book, reschedule, and cancel appointments in our scheduling system through its API Answer common patient questions (hours, locations, insurance basics, visit prep) from our internal knowledge base and documents Hand urgent or complex calls to the right staff member Send SMS confirmations and reminders (we use Twilio today) Speak English and Spanish Log every call with a transcript and outcome What we need around it: A simple admin dashboard for staff: call logs, transcripts, booking outcomes, and basic analytics per clinic Multi-location support — each clinic has its own hours, providers, and rules Patient privacy taken seriously: sensitive information must stay private and never leak into third-party tools we don't control Technology: we expect something like the OpenAI or Claude real-time voice APIs, Whisper or Deepgram for speech-to-text, ElevenLabs or similar for the voice, Twilio for telephony, and a Python (FastAPI) or Node.js backend with PostgreSQL — but we are open to your recommendation. You should be comfortable owning scoping, UI/UX design for the dashboard, frontend, backend, AI integration, deployment, and post-launch improvements.
