About the Project We are building an AI-powered career coaching assistant that customers can use to improve their resume, explore career paths, and create a practical plan for their next steps. This is not meant to be a basic chatbot. The goal is to create a conversational AI agent that can guide users through a structured process while still feeling natural and helpful. Business Goal Many customers need help organizing their experience, identifying strengths, tailoring resumes, and understanding what roles they should target. We want the system to reduce manual coaching work, give users faster support, and create a more consistent experience based on expert-provided instructions. What Needs to Be Built The platform should allow users to chat with an AI agent that follows a defined coaching framework. The conversation rules, resume guidance, and career planning logic will be provided by subject matter experts, but we need someone who can turn that into a production-ready AI workflow. Core features may include: - Conversational AI agent for resume and career guidance - Structured intake flow for work history, education, skills, and goals - Resume improvement suggestions based on user input - Career path recommendations and action plans - Ability to follow expert-provided coaching rules - User account area to save progress and outputs - API integration between frontend, backend, and AI services - Admin-friendly way to update prompts, rules, or knowledge content Technical Expectations We are looking for an experienced AI developer or full-stack AI engineer who can take ownership of the architecture. Python is preferred for the backend, and JavaScript experience is important for the web application side. Experience with OpenAI, Claude, AI agent development, APIs, workflow automation, and scalable architecture would be highly relevant. The system should be maintainable and easy to expand later. We may add features like resume scoring, document upload, job description matching, or a knowledge base in a future phase.
