About Compete365 Compete365 is a SaaS competition-management platform covering registration, scheduling, competition administration, judging, scoring, results, and related workflows. We are building a global product and want to explore how AI can make competition management smarter, faster, and more efficient. We are looking for a talented junior developer, recent graduate, or early-career software engineer with strong programming fundamentals and a genuine interest in building AI-powered applications. The Opportunity This is an opportunity to work on a real SaaS product, contribute to full-stack development, experiment with AI technologies, and help turn ideas into practical product features. You do not need years of professional experience. We are particularly interested in candidates who have built interesting projects, experimented with AI, or demonstrated initiative through university work, personal projects, internships, or previous employment. Show us what you can build. A strong AI project or working application may be more valuable to us than several years of routine development experience. Key Responsibilities Develop and improve features across the Compete365 platform. Build and integrate APIs, application workflows, and third-party services. Assist with frontend and backend development. Explore AI APIs, LLMs, AI agents, and workflow automation. Prototype AI-powered features and evaluate their practical value. Help integrate AI into competition setup, scheduling, communications, analytics, reporting, and contestant feedback. Experiment with AI-assisted coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. Work with databases and structured data. Collaborate with the technical lead and product team to turn ideas into working features. Document your work and communicate technical findings clearly. Skills and Technologies We welcome candidates with experience or academic exposure to several of the following: JavaScript or TypeScript. C# or .NET. Python or other programming languages. REST APIs and third-party integrations. Microsoft Azure. Microsoft Power Platform and Dataverse. SQL, NoSQL databases, and data structures. AI APIs and large language models (LLMs). AI agents, prompt engineering, and structured AI outputs. Workflow automation and application development. Git, debugging, and software testing. You do not need to know every technology listed. Strong fundamentals, practical ability, and a willingness to learn are more important than checking every box. AI Product Development We want to build useful AI capabilities directly into Compete365, not simply use AI to write code faster. Potential projects include: AI-assisted competition setup and configuration. Scheduling recommendations and conflict detection. AI assistants for competition organizers. Automated communications and reporting. Analytics and anomaly detection. Judging assistance and structured contestant feedback. AI-assisted judging will support human judges rather than replace them. Transparency, human accountability, and auditable results are important to our approach. Who Should Apply?
