AI Visual Inspection App Developer

The project is focused on creating a reliable desktop application that supports visual inspection tasks and integrates AI capabilities for component analysis. # Freelance Developer Needed – AI Visual Inspection Application I am looking for an experienced software developer to build a local AI-powered visual inspection application for aerospace components. I have already created a UI/UX mockup using Lovable and can provide access to it so you can understand the desired interface, features, and workflow. ### Project Overview The application will use an industrial camera to capture images of assembled mechanical components and compare them against approved reference images to identify installation errors and visual discrepancies. Examples of discrepancies the system should detect: - Backward or incorrectly installed lockwire. - Missing nameplates or identification labels. - Incorrect bolt or nut installation orientation (for example, bolt head facing the wrong direction). - Missing or incorrectly installed hardware. - Missing or improperly applied torque-seal markings. - Other assembly and visual inspection discrepancies that may be added in the future. ### Main Requirements - Convert my existing Lovable mockup into a fully functional application. - Integrate an industrial camera for image capture. - Develop image processing and AI capabilities to identify discrepancies. - Compare captured images against approved reference images. - Highlight detected discrepancies and provide PASS / FAIL / REVIEW results. - Allow users to manage reference images and inspection criteria. - Support multiple inspection views for different components. - Keep the software architecture modular and scalable so new discrepancy types, inspection rules, components, and reference images can be added easily without redesigning the entire application. - Store images and inspection records locally. ### Important: Local and Offline Operation The application must run entirely on a dedicated local computer, without relying on cloud services or external AI APIs. Inspection images and data must never be automatically transmitted outside the computer. ### Preferred Skills - Python - OpenCV and Computer Vision - AI / Machine Learning (PyTorch or ONNX) - React / JavaScript / TypeScript - Industrial camera integration (Basler or similar) - Local desktop application development - Experience with manufacturing or quality inspection systems is a plus. ### Deliverables - Functional application based on my Lovable mockup. - Industrial camera integration. - Working image inspection and discrepancy detection. - Scalable architecture for adding future inspection criteria. - Local database and image storage. - Fully offline deployment. - Complete source code and documentation. ### To Apply Please share examples of similar computer vision or industrial inspection projects you have developed, your proposed technical approach, estimated timeline, and project cost.
