Developer — Review, Harden & Ship What We Prototype (ongoing)

We're a business advisory and infrastructure firm in Charleston, South Carolina, building an internal platform that our clients will eventually log into. One of us prototypes fast using AI tooling and gets the concept working. We need someone who takes that and makes it production ready. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Take working prototypes and make them robust — error handling, edge cases, retries, sensible failure states • Review code and tell us where it will break before it does • Set up and maintain proper repositories and version control in GitHub • Work with Supabase for database, auth and storage • Build out modules as we add them — the platform is deliberately modular, so new services bolt on • Deploy, monitor, and fix things when they break • Tell us when the approach is wrong, not just when the code is WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR • Genuine engineering experience — this is a review-and-harden role, so you need to be better at this than someone prototyping with AI • Strong on GitHub, repos, branching and deployment • Supabase, or comfortable getting up to speed quickly • You're happy working with AI-generated code as a starting point rather than being offended by it. We're not looking for someone to rewrite everything from scratch. • Clear communicator who explains technical decisions to non-engineers NICE TO HAVE • Experience with multi-tenant applications and client logins • API integration work, particularly CRM APIs • Experience taking an MVP to something real HOURS & LOCATION Anywhere in the world. Project-based to start, with ongoing work as the platform grows.
