Full-Stack AI Developer – Counseling Companion

I am seeking an experienced Full-Stack AI Developer to support the development of an innovative, web-based healthcare SaaS platform designed for mental health professionals. The platform will integrate artificial intelligence, clinical decision-support capabilities, treatment planning, and clinical documentation into an intuitive, secure, and scalable application. Unlike traditional AI documentation tools, this platform will incorporate an interactive AI clinical companion designed to assist licensed clinicians with differential diagnostic considerations, clinical case conceptualization, evidence-informed treatment recommendations, and therapeutic intervention planning. The initial objective is to develop a functional Minimum Viable Product (MVP), with the potential for a long-term development partnership. ## Key Development Responsibilities **Full-Stack Application Development** - Develop responsive, intuitive frontend interfaces and secure backend infrastructure. - Build clinician dashboards, client management workflows, and interactive AI interfaces. - Implement secure authentication, database management, and API integrations. - Design a scalable architecture that supports future feature expansion. **AI and Clinical Decision-Support Integration** - Integrate large language models (LLMs) to support interactive clinical reasoning. - Develop AI workflows for differential diagnostic exploration, treatment planning, and clinical recommendations. - Implement context-aware AI conversations and structured clinical outputs. - Integrate curated knowledge resources and configurable clinical reasoning frameworks. - Incorporate clinician review, evidence references, uncertainty indicators, and safeguards against unsupported AI recommendations. **Clinical Documentation and Workflow Automation** - Integrate speech-to-text transcription capabilities. - Develop AI-assisted clinical documentation workflows. - Support structured progress notes, treatment plans, and session summaries. - Enable clinician editing, review, and approval of AI-generated content. **Security and Infrastructure** - Implement appropriate healthcare data privacy and security safeguards. - Design secure data storage, encryption, and access controls. - Support HIPAA-aligned development practices and integration with appropriate service providers. - Develop testing, deployment, and maintenance processes. ## Required Technical Skills - Full-stack web application development. - React.js, Next.js, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript. - Python (FastAPI or Django) and/or Node.js. - REST API development and integration. - PostgreSQL or comparable relational database technologies. - AI/LLM API integration. - Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). - Prompt engineering and structured AI workflows. - Speech-to-text API integration. - Cloud deployment (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). - Authentication, authorization, and secure application architecture. - Automated testing, debugging, and technical documentation. ## Preferred Experience - Healthcare technology or clinical software development. - AI-powered SaaS applications. - Clinical decision-support systems. - Healthcare privacy and security requirements. - AI evaluation, reliability testing, and hallucination mitigation. - UI/UX design for professional software platforms. ## Initial Development Deliverables 1. Interactive AI clinical companion with configurable clinical reasoning workflows. 5. Initial differential diagnostic and treatment recommendation support. 6. AI-assisted documentation and transcription integration. 7. Functional MVP with testing and deployment documentation. 8. Source code, repository access, and technical handoff. Development will be structured into agreed-upon milestones. Final MVP scope, timeline, and budget will be determined during technical discovery. ## Collaboration Expectations I am looking for a developer who can manage both frontend and backend development, communicate proactively, and provide recommendations regarding technical architecture and implementation. Experience translating complex professional workflows into practical AI-powered applications is especially important. Confidentiality and intellectual property protection are required.
