Full-Stack Developer (Next.js + Supabase + Stripe Connect) – Marketplace MVP

Full-Stack Developer — Two-Sided Marketplace MVP Lake-Ads.com connects local businesses with lake associations in Minnesota. Businesses pay to advertise on association websites and directories. Associations use that revenue to fund Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) prevention programs. This is Phase 1 (MVP): the core transaction working end-to-end. A business finds a lake association, purchases an ad placement, and their ad appears in the association’s directory — with money flowing correctly through Stripe. The project is fully documented. Shortlisted candidates receive the complete technical specification (160+ pages), MVP Scope Document, and Pricing Math Worksheet. The thinking is done — we need someone to build it. WHAT YOU'LL BUILD The MVP has ten build steps in this order: 1. Database schema — produce the DDL migration script from the provided specification, then run it. All 30 tables, all foreign keys, all indexes. 2. Supabase Auth — email/password for businesses, associations, and admin 3. Business registration and profile portal 4. Association registration + Stripe Connect Express onboarding + bank account connection 5. Admin portal — approve registrations, manage settings, view transactions 6. Stripe checkout — multi-lake cart, PaymentIntent, webhook, Transfers to each association 7. Embeddable advertiser directory — iframe embed, category filters, name search 8. Click tracker and QR redirect 9. Transactional emails via Resend — 8 key notification flows 10. Public pages — homepage, about, registration, ToS and privacy links TECH STACK (locked decisions) - Framework: Next.js 14+ (App Router) - Database: PostgreSQL via Supabase (project already created) - Auth: Supabase Auth — three roles: business / association / admin - Payments: Stripe Connect Express (account configured, Connect enabled) - File storage: Cloudflare R2 (bucket created, credentials provided) - Email: Resend (domain verified, API key provided) - Hosting: Vercel (account created) - Styling: Tailwind CSS All accounts are set up. Credentials are ready in a shared password manager. You won't be waiting on us for access. WHAT YOU'LL RECEIVE ON DAY ONE Once you're shortlisted we'll schedule a brief call. If we're a good fit, you'll receive before writing a single line of code: - Full technical specification (160+ pages) — complete architecture, all 30 database tables fully defined - MVP Scope Document — exactly what to build, explicit exclusions, definition of done - Pricing Math Worksheet — every checkout formula in execution order with worked examples - Terms of Service and Privacy Policy — for the registration acceptance flow - All platform credentials via shared password manager — Supabase, Stripe, Cloudflare R2, Resend, Vercel - Direct access to the founder for questions — weekly video call plus async messaging You will not be starting from a blank page or a vague description. Everything is documented and ready. THE STRIPE CONNECT PIECE The most technically interesting part of this project is the payment flow. A business pays one charge covering placements on multiple lake associations. The platform splits that payment — transferring the net amount to each association's connected Stripe account while retaining the commission. If you've implemented Stripe Connect Express with destination charges and transfer_data — where the platform retains a commission and remits to connected accounts — this is familiar territory. If you haven't, this engagement will be a steep learning curve. We'd rather know upfront.
