Our technical team currently includes a CTO (board member), a Technical Director with a PhD in AI, a full-stack developer covering both our client-facing platforms and internal tools, a cloud infrastructure engineer, and a web-scraping specialist. We're hiring a second full-stack developer to grow that team. ## The Opportunity We're not looking for a one-off contractor. We're looking for someone who becomes a permanent part of this team. We'll start with one or more fixed-price projects so we can work together and evaluate fit on both sides. If that goes well, we'll move to a stable, ongoing contract at roughly 20 hours a week by December 2026, transitioning to full-time in the first months of 2027. ## Core Tech Stack - React & Next.js - NestJS - PostgreSQL & Drizzle ORM - TailwindCSS & shadcn/ui - Redux Toolkit & RTK Query - TurboRepo (monorepo) ## What We Need From You - Clean, well-organized code that someone else on the team can pick up without a walkthrough - Real experience maintaining a large, existing codebase — this isn't a greenfield-only role - Independent problem-solving and clear written English for async communication ## Selection Process 1. **Proposal review.** We read every application in full — please do the same with this post before writing yours. It's scoped as a fixed-price contract: - Setup & seed data — 16h - Auth & access management (we can share a reference implementation from our existing codebase) — 24h - Labels & date-type management — 4h - Grants module & editor — 40h - Stats page — 8h - Buffer for revisions/QA — 32h - **Total: 124h** Fixed budget: **$868–$1,240** (≈$7–10/hr).
