I run a two-sided marketplace in the wellness and hospitality space. One side is professionals looking for work, the other is businesses hiring them. Both sides have their own accounts, dashboards and flows, so the platform is a real product rather than a brochure site.
The setup is split across two parts:
Marketing site: Webflow. Pages, CMS collections, custom code embeds, forms, SEO settings.
Product: a custom React and Node.js application. User accounts, onboarding, profiles, listings, applications, dashboards for both sides, an admin panel, and payments.
I am looking for one developer to take ownership of both, long term.
The full stack, so you know exactly what you are walking into
Webflow for the marketing site and its CMS
React front end for the product
Node.js back end
MongoDB database
Railway for hosting and deployment
GitHub for version control
Stripe for subscriptions and one-off payments
Cloudflare Images for image storage, optimisation and delivery
AWS S3 for file storage
SendGrid for transactional and platform email
You do not need to have used every single one of these before, but you should be comfortable across most of them and confident picking up the rest quickly. Please be honest in your proposal about which ones are new to you. I would much rather know upfront than find out three weeks in.
How the work starts
The first piece of work is a focused stretch of technical SEO. I am pushing hard on organic search at the moment, so the site needs to be properly set up underneath: site speed and Core Web Vitals, structured data, meta and heading structure, indexation and sitemaps, canonicals, and clean URLs across both the Webflow marketing site and the platform.
Once that is in good shape, the role settles into ongoing maintenance and improvement builds. So expect a heavier, more focused first phase, then a steadier rhythm after it.
What the work involves
Ongoing maintenance of the platform: keeping things stable, monitoring for breakages, applying updates, and handling anything that goes wrong
Fixing issues as they come up, from small UI bugs to broken flows, with clear communication on what caused them
Improvement builds: new features and pages, changes to existing flows, refinements to dashboards, and work on conversion and performance
Webflow work on the marketing site, including CMS structure, custom code, and keeping the design system consistent
Deployments through Railway and clean, reviewable work in GitHub
Small, well-scoped releases rather than large risky rewrites
What I need from you
Strong, demonstrable Webflow experience. You know the Designer properly, including CMS collections, dynamic lists, conditional visibility, and custom code embeds. Please do not apply if Webflow is something you have only touched once
Solid React experience on a real production application, not just tutorial projects
Node.js and MongoDB back-end experience: APIs, authentication, schema design, third-party integrations
Comfortable with Stripe, and with cloud services for storage and email (S3, Cloudflare, SendGrid or equivalents)
Confident with Git workflows and deploying to a managed platform such as Railway, Render or Heroku
Able to read an existing codebase you did not write and work within it
Good written English and a habit of explaining things clearly. You will be working directly with me, so no jargon walls
Based in Europe or a nearby timezone so we have proper overlap with UK working hours
Technical SEO experience, since that is where I am starting. Core Web Vitals, structured data, indexation, and how all of that works specifically within Webflow
Nice to have
Experience with marketplaces, job boards, or any product with two distinct user types
An eye for design, so improvements come back looking considered rather than just functional
The arrangement
Ongoing hourly contract, not a one-off project
Budget: $35 to $60 per hour depending on experience
Workload varies. Heavier during the initial SEO phase and when I am building something new, lighter in steady maintenance weeks
Long-term relationship preferred. The last thing I want is to re-onboard someone every few months
To apply
Please include:
Two or three links to Webflow sites you have built, and what you were responsible for on each
One React, Node and MongoDB product you have worked on, with a short note on what you did
Which items on the stack list above you have not worked with before
A short answer to this: a form on a Webflow page needs to write to the React/Node platform's MongoDB database and trigger a Stripe checkout. How would you approach it?
One example of technical SEO work you have done and what it changed
Your hourly rate and your usual availability
I read every proposal that follows the instructions. Applications without answers to the above will not be reviewed.
