Python Developer to Automate Form-Filling & Data Extraction for Medical Credentialing Applications

I assist physicians with their medical credentialing and malpractice insurance applications across multiple surgical centers. My biggest bottleneck is repetitive data entry—filling out various PDF and document applications that have different form layouts, but require almost identical information (e.g., work history, board certifications, state licenses, malpractice history, and personal details). I am seeking a skilled Python Developer to build an automated workflow that extracts data from previously completed applications and populates new, different application forms. Key Responsibilities & Scope: 1. Primary Objective: Form-Filling & Data Extraction Engine (Python) Develop a Python tool to accurately extract data from previously completed applications (PDFs, fillable forms, and scanned documents). Implement smart field-mapping (using OCR or PDF parsing) so extracted data points can automatically pre-fill new applications with varying structures and formats. 2. Secondary Objective: Basic Document & Data Management (Linux) Build a straightforward Linux-compatible program/script or local database to store, update, and manage doctor records. Maintain up-to-date work history, provider profiles, and active documents. Flag or track expired documents (licenses, certificates) so outdated information is not used to fill new forms. Required Qualifications: High proficiency in Python and experience with document parsing/PDF automation (e.g., pdfplumber, PyMuPDF, pypdf, pypdfium2, PDFminer, or OCR engines like Tesseract).
