React Native Developer Needed for iOS & Android Social Media App

We are looking for an experienced **React Native / Expo developer** to build the mobile version of our existing social media web application. ### Project Overview We already have a fully developed social web application built with **Pure PHP**. We now need to develop native-feeling **Android and iOS mobile apps** using React Native. We are considering using the open-source **Bluesky Social App** repository as the foundation/reference for the mobile application: https://github.com/bluesky-social/social-app The goal is to build a **Bluesky-style social networking experience**, while connecting the mobile app to our existing PHP backend and database. ### What You Will Do * Analyze the existing Bluesky Social App codebase * Set up and customize the React Native/Expo application * Remove Bluesky/AT Protocol-specific functionality that is not required * Integrate the mobile app with our existing **Pure PHP APIs** * Implement authentication and user sessions * Build the social feed * User profiles * Create/edit posts * Likes and comments/replies * Follow/unfollow functionality * Search * Notifications * Media/image handling * Chat and private messaging * Push notifications * Settings and account management * Ensure the application works properly on both Android and iOS * Prepare production builds and assist with App Store and Google Play submission ### Important This is **not a request to build a backend from scratch**. Our existing web application and PHP backend are already available. The developer will need to understand the existing backend/API structure and connect the React Native application to it. We are also not looking for a simple visual copy of Bluesky. The Bluesky repository will be used as a technical starting point/reference, while the final application will have **our own branding, functionality, backend, and user experience**. ### Required Experience You should have strong experience with: * React Native * Expo * TypeScript * Android and iOS development * REST API integration * PHP/Laravel or experience integrating with PHP APIs * Social media applications * Real-time chat/messaging * Push notifications * Authentication * App Store and Google Play deployment * Git/GitHub Experience working with or modifying the **Bluesky Social App repository** is a strong advantage. ### To Apply Please include: 1.
