Senior Software Engineering Consultant | Flexible Position

We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineering Consultant based in the United States who combines strong hands-on development skills with practical technical consulting experience. This is not a leadership-only or management-focused position. At least 70% of the role involves hands-on software development, including writing code, implementing features, troubleshooting issues, and improving existing systems. The remaining responsibilities involve technical consulting, architecture discussions, and collaboration. We intentionally haven't specified a particular technology stack, as our projects may involve different technologies and technical challenges. We're more interested in finding an experienced engineer with strong fundamentals, adaptability, and the ability to understand and work across different technical environments than someone limited to a specific set of tools or frameworks. This position offers a flexible schedule and the potential for long-term collaboration. We're looking for someone interested in building a lasting professional relationship rather than completing a one-time assignment. Compensation is negotiable and depends on experience, technical expertise, and responsibilities. When applying, please share your technical background, relevant development experience, availability, and expected rate. Important: Only candidates currently based in the United States will be considered.
