Urgent: Hands-On Technical Lead / Senior Laravel Full-Stack Engineer

Backend, Web and Native Mobile Platform Ownership We are looking for a senior, hands-on Technical Lead / Full-Stack Engineer to take long-term ownership of an existing, production-oriented, multi-platform software platform. This is not a greenfield project or a pre-sales opportunity. The project belongs to an established international client. The commercial engagement is already active, the project has been onboarded, and our team is already delivering other services. We need to immediately align a senior technical owner because our existing development pipeline is at capacity. The selected freelancer or agency should be ready to begin within the next 2–3 days. To confirm that you have read the complete requirements, begin your proposal with: TECHNICAL OWNERSHIP Engagement Overview Long-term monthly engagement of at least 12 months Approximately 120–140 tracked hours per month Expected fixed monthly budget: ₹55,000–₹85,000 INR Individual freelancers and professional agencies are welcome Immediate availability is strongly preferred Reasonable overlap with Indian business hours is required Work will be performed as a white-label member of our team NDA, confidentiality, intellectual-property and other applicable agreements will be signed This is not a short coding assignment. We need someone who can become a dependable, long-term technical owner. Monthly Budget Our expected fixed monthly budget is ₹55,000–₹85,000 INR for approximately 120–140 tracked hours per month. The final monthly amount will depend on: Demonstrated technical expertise Ability to take end-to-end ownership Backend and API experience Web and mobile capabilities Availability and communication Ability to work independently We are willing to consider a higher monthly budget for: An exceptional individual freelancer who can genuinely manage the backend, web and native mobile applications A professional agency providing a strong, clearly identified backend, Android and iOS team Agencies must specify their proposed team, responsibility allocation, total monthly hours and expected monthly fee. Core Expertise Required Our highest priority is someone with strong, demonstrable expertise in: Laravel and PHP backend development REST API architecture and debugging Shared business logic across web and mobile applications React, JavaScript and Laravel Blade Laravel-based admin panels MySQL and database troubleshooting Authentication, authorization and application security Redis, queues, caching and realtime systems Third-party API and payment integrations Production Linux environments Docker, Git/GitHub and deployments Taking over inherited or existing production applications The selected person must be able to understand complex business logic, diagnose production issues and make sound technical decisions independently. Key Responsibilities Take primary ownership of the Laravel/PHP backend and business logic. Maintain and develop REST APIs used by the web and mobile applications. Maintain the React/JavaScript and Laravel Blade web application. Maintain and extend the Laravel-based admin panel. Design and optimize database queries, schemas and migrations. Maintain authentication, authorization and access-control workflows. Manage Redis, queues, caching and realtime functionality. Debug production issues across APIs, databases, integrations and mobile clients. Maintain backward compatibility when changing APIs used by existing applications. Review the existing Laravel 8 implementation and recommend a safe upgrade strategy. Improve application security, performance, reliability and maintainability. Review infrastructure, deployments and third-party integrations. Establish a clean Git/GitHub and release workflow. Maintain technical documentation and communicate risks proactively. Android and iOS Expectations We understand that one person may not have equal expertise in every technology. However, the mobile applications cannot be treated as external black boxes. The selected freelancer or agency must be able to: Set up and build the existing Android and iOS projects. Work with Android Studio, Java/XML and Gradle. Work with Xcode, Swift and UIKit. Trace API calls and business workflows across backend and mobile code. Debug authentication, networking, realtime and push-notification issues. Assess the impact of backend/API changes on all four mobile applications. Implement routine-to-moderate mobile changes. Review mobile code and identify technical risks. Identify missing certificates, keys, configuration and access. Handle or coordinate Google Play and App Store releases. Identify when deeper platform-specific support is genuinely required. For individual freelancers, practical experience with both Android and iOS is strongly preferred. If applying as an agency, you must identify the actual technical lead and developers responsible for backend, Android and iOS work. We are not interested in speaking only with a sales representative. Additional WordPress Responsibility Alongside the main platform, the selected person or team will occasionally maintain our company WordPress website. This may include: WordPress, theme and plugin updates Backups and security Performance improvements Forms and third-party integrations Hosting or deployment troubleshooting Routine PHP, database and WordPress fixes WordPress is a secondary responsibility. The Laravel-based platform remains the primary focus. Initial Responsibilities Your initial responsibility will be to: Understand the existing architecture and business logic. Set up the backend, web and mobile development environments. Organize the Git/GitHub workflow. Audit the existing web, backend and admin-panel implementation. Review API dependencies across Android and iOS applications. Review the infrastructure, database and third-party integrations. Identify critical, high, medium and low-priority issues. Identify missing access, credentials, keys and certificates. Assess the build and deployment status of all applications. Prepare a practical recovery and stabilization roadmap. Subsequently lead ongoing development, maintenance and technical improvements. Do not provide a final project timeline before reviewing the existing codebase. AI-Assisted Development Effective use of Cursor, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex or similar tools is encouraged. However, we need someone who can: Understand and review AI-generated code Validate architecture and implementation decisions Test changes before production deployment Identify security, performance and platform-specific risks Use AI as an engineering productivity tool—not as a substitute for technical expertise Individual Freelancers and Agencies We welcome: A senior individual freelancer capable of taking end-to-end technical ownership A professional agency with a clearly identified technical lead and delivery team Agency Requirements Agencies must: Nominate one senior technical lead as our primary point of ownership. Identify the actual developers working on backend, Android and iOS. Ensure the proposed technical lead and relevant developers attend the interview. Avoid replacing assigned developers without prior approval. Transparently track all committed working hours. Keep the technical lead accountable for the complete platform. Individual Freelancer Requirements Individual freelancers must: Clearly identify their strongest and weaker technology areas. Provide evidence of backend, web and mobile experience. Disclose any proposed subcontracting or specialist support in advance. Personally remain responsible for architecture, communication and delivery. Mandatory Proof of Experience We will conduct a live technical interview and screen-sharing session. Shortlisted applicants will be asked to: Demonstrate relevant applications they have worked on Walk us through backend/API code they are legally authorized to share Explain the architecture and their exact contribution Show evidence of Android and iOS experience where claimed Discuss production issues they personally diagnosed and resolved Explain Git history, pull requests, deployments or similar contribution evidence Do not share confidential client code or violate another company’s NDA. However, you must have some code, public repository, personal project, sanitized sample, commercial product or other meaningful technical work that you are legally permitted to demonstrate. If all your work is confidential and you cannot demonstrate any relevant code or technical contribution, please do not apply. Initial Paid Takeover Phase The engagement will begin with a paid, time-boxed technical assessment and takeover phase. Expected outputs include: Architecture and dependency overview Environment and setup status Backend and web audit findings Android and iOS build status Missing-access and configuration list Infrastructure and integration findings Prioritized technical issues Immediate stabilization recommendations Practical technical roadmap Recommended ongoing involvement Identification of any specialist support required Successful completion of this phase will lead to the long-term monthly engagement.
