I run an independent Microsoft Fabric and Power BI consultancy. I need a new marketing website. I will provide the brand direction, the logo, and the copy. The unusual part: I want the site built in the open, using Claude Code, with me watching and learning. I would like to see the work as it happens — the repo, the commits, the prompts, the occasional live screen share — rather than a weekly status note and a finished result at the end. By the end of the project I want two things: a good website, and the confidence to maintain and extend it myself with Claude. Who this suits. I am happy to work with someone earlier in their career who wants a solid reference and a client who comes back. I use Claude every day and have a realistic sense of what a site like this takes in hours, so I am not budgeting as if it were 2019. What I offer in return is a clear brief, fast decisions, prompt payment, a public reference, and ongoing work if this goes well. Individuals only, please. I am looking to work directly with one person rather than an agency or a team, and I would like that person to do the work themselves. About me and the business Independent BI and data consultancy serving CEOs and CFOs at mid-sized companies across Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the wider EU. Fully remote. I am based in Valencia, Spain, working on CET. Positioning: I build the governed data foundation that makes reporting — and AI on business data — trustworthy. Services sit in three tiers: Foundation, Activation, Acceleration. My audience is senior, non-technical and fairly sceptical, so the site should feel credible and calm rather than like a SaaS startup landing page. I am technical (data engineering, SQL, Python, DAX) but not a front-end developer. Assume I can read code and follow architecture, and assume I have never shipped a production website. What I need built A marketing website — English first, with a German version built into the structure from the start. Roughly six to eight pages plus a blog. I will send the full sitemap and copy at kickoff. Integrations Booking embed (Cal.com or Microsoft Bookings — decision open, I would welcome a recommendation) Contact form with no server to maintain (Formspree or equivalent) Newsletter signup connected to Substack Privacy-friendly analytics (Plausible, Fathom Analytics or similar) — GDPR-compliant, ideally without a cookie banner Open Graph share image, favicon set, meta tags, sitemap, robots.txt Technical requirements Static or statically generated. Fast, cheap to host, nothing for me to patch on a server. Content in Markdown or MDX, so I can edit copy and publish posts without touching layout code. EN and DE routes in place from day one. I will supply the German copy. Brand details — name, logo, colours, fonts, contact — in one config file. I may rename the company in the next 12–18 months and would like that to be a config change rather than a rebuild. Solid performance and accessibility. Lighthouse 95+ and WCAG AA basics are the target. Domain migration to a new .ai domain with redirects from the old one. Email runs on Microsoft 365 and needs to keep working. Everything in a Git repository I own from day one. Design I will provide the logo, brand direction and visual references at kickoff, along with the copy. I am hoping to find someone with real taste in layout, typography and spacing rather than someone waiting for pixel-level instructions. How I would like to work — this is the important part This is a build-with-me engagement more than a build-for-me one. Work happens in Claude Code, in a repo I have access to from the first commit, pushed as you go. I would like to see the prompts, the plans and the corrections — including the times Claude gets it wrong and you fix it. That is the part I most want to learn. Two live sessions per week, around 60 minutes, screen shared, you driving and narrating. Recorded, if you are comfortable with that. I ask a lot of questions, so please factor that in. A short recorded walkthrough at each milestone (Loom or similar, 5–15 minutes) covering what changed and why. A CLAUDE.md in the repo with project context, conventions and constraints, so my own later sessions start well-informed. A written operating handbook: how to run the site locally, publish a post, add a page, change copy, deploy, roll back, and what to do when something breaks. Written for me, not for a developer. A prompt library — the ten or fifteen prompts that do the recurring work on this codebase. How we will know it worked: on a call at the end, without your help, I add a page, change some copy, publish a post and deploy, using Claude and your handbook. Structure Fixed scope per milestone, paid on acceptance. I would rather work this way than hourly. Milestone 0 — Paid trial Small and scoped, before either of us commits: set up a repo in your proposed stack, build the hero section and one content section from the brief and brand direction I provide, deploy a preview, and record a 10-minute Loom explaining your Claude Code workflow as you went. I may run this with more than one person. Milestone 1 — Foundations Repo, stack, deployment pipeline, design system, brand config file, EN/DE structure, CLAUDE.md. Milestone 2 — Core pages, English All pages built, responsive, accessible, reviewed. Milestone 3 — Integrations and SEO Booking, contact form, newsletter, analytics, Open Graph, metadata, sitemap, performance pass. Milestone 4 — German version, legal pages, domain migration DE routes live, legal pages structured, domain and DNS cut over, redirects verified. Milestone 5 — Handover Operating handbook, prompt library, final walkthrough, and the acceptance test above. If you would sequence this differently, say so in your proposal — I would genuinely rather see your view than have you mirror mine. Who I am looking for One person who will do the work themselves. At least one live site you built that I can visit. A personal project is fine; one good page tells me more than a long client list. Someone earlier in their career is very welcome, as long as the craft is there. Comfortable, fluent English — you will be explaining as much as coding. Genuinely uses Claude Code day to day, rather than being generally familiar with AI tools. Patient. Happy to slow down and explain a decision twice. Some overlap with CET working hours. Probably not a fit Agencies and studios, or work that would be passed on to someone else. WordPress or page-builder proposals — I would like a codebase. Generic proposals. A couple of lines showing you read this post go a long way. Anyone who would rather work heads-down and reveal the result at the end. Understandable, just not what I am after here. To apply, please answer these Answers in the proposal itself are ideal; attachments are optional. Links to one or two sites you built yourself. For each, a line on what was yours and what wasn't. What stack would you use here, and why — given that a non-front-end developer has to maintain it afterwards with Claude's help? One concrete thing you built with Claude Code recently. What did you prompt, where did it go sideways, and how did you handle it? How would you structure this so that renaming the company later is a config change rather than a rebuild? Confirm you are working solo on this and will not be passing any of it on. Your timezone, weekly availability, and whether two 60-minute live sessions per week work for you. What you would deliver for the Milestone 0 trial.
