AI & Automation Developer

About 1 Clean Air 1 Clean Air is a fast-growing home-service company providing air-duct cleaning, HVAC, dryer-vent cleaning, carpet cleaning, and related indoor-air-quality services. We’re looking for an experienced AI & Automation Developer to build the internal tools and AI-powered systems that will help us operate faster, serve customers better, and scale the company. This is not a research role, and it is not limited to creating basic automations. You will identify operational problems and build complete, reliable solutions—from the initial idea to deployment and ongoing improvement. What You’ll Build Projects may include: AI-powered scheduling and dispatching systems Automated lead and customer follow-up AI voice and chat agents Sales, customer service, and operations agents Custom CRM features and internal dashboards Route planning, territory mapping, and technician optimization Automated quoting and booking tools Call analysis, lead qualification, and quality-control systems Integrations between ServiceTitan, CRMs, phone systems, email, SMS, Slack, and other platforms Reporting tools that turn company data into useful recommendations Any other AI product or automation that can improve revenue, efficiency, or the customer experience Your Responsibilities Work directly with company leadership and department managers to identify problems worth solving Turn operational needs into clear technical solutions Design, build, test, and deploy AI-powered products and automations Create AI agents that can use company data, follow instructions, and take reliable actions Build integrations using APIs, webhooks, databases, and automation platforms Develop the backend logic and simple interfaces required for internal tools Connect and synchronize data across different company systems Make sure automations are secure, accurate, monitored, and easy to maintain Troubleshoot failures and improve existing systems Document what you build so it can be understood and maintained Measure whether each solution saves time, reduces costs, improves conversions, or creates revenue Stay current with new AI models and tools, and determine which ones are genuinely useful for the company Required Experience You should be highly experienced with: OpenAI APIs, including structured outputs, tool calling, assistants/agents, and prompt design Anthropic Claude and Claude Code n8n, including advanced multi-step workflows, error handling, and custom integrations Building AI agents that connect to real business systems REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and third-party integrations JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Python Databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Supabase, or similar CRM, communication, and business-software integrations Cloud deployment using platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Vercel, or similar Data privacy, access controls, API security, and safe handling of customer information Monitoring, logging, debugging, and maintaining production systems Nice to Have Experience with any of the following is an advantage: ServiceTitan or other home-service platforms Twilio, RingCentral, or AI voice platforms HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, or custom CRMs Google Maps, route optimization, or geospatial tools SMS and email automation Retrieval-augmented generation and vector databases AI call analysis and conversation intelligence Home services, HVAC, call centers, dispatching, or field-service operations What We Are Not Looking For We are not looking for someone who only knows how to write prompts or connect a few templates in an automation platform. We need a builder who can understand a business problem, create the right solution, deploy it, and remain accountable for how it performs.
