AI Automation Engineer for DTC Ecommerce

We’re seeking an AI Automation Engineer to build internal tools for a DTC e-commerce brand. You’ll help create workflows that improve operations, reduce manual effort, and support day-to-day business needs. The role includes designing and implementing automation solutions, integrating systems, and improving internal processes. Ideal candidates have experience building practical tools that solve real business problems and can work independently in a fast-moving environment. What you'll be doing: You will build internal tools that remove repetitive work from our operations lead's day. She will be the user of everything you build — you build it, she runs it. - Everything must be documented - We must be able to edit the automation once built to improve it (not just you!) Items in the queue: - Customer service triage and reply drafting. Classify inbound intent, pull live order and fulfillment status from Shopify, draft a reply in our brand voice from an existing response library, flag anything needing a human. - Facebook / Instagram comment responder - understand comments and draft a response to comments on our meta ads. - Inventory management - arrange stock re-orders, replenishments avoiding overstocks - Amazon PPC search-term automation. Ingest search-term and SQP reports, apply spend/ACOS/conversion thresholds, output a ready-to-upload bulk operations file for negation and keyword harvesting.
