Design-minded Frontend Developer for custom Next.js sites, long-term

We build custom, high-end marketing websites with Next.js. We are looking for a frontend developer who is also a genuine designer: someone with real taste who can both craft a layout and build it cleanly. How we work This is not pixel-copying a fixed spec. For each project you get clear brand guardrails: a defined style direction, a color palette, a typography direction, tone and wording rules, and reference material. Inside those guardrails you have creative freedom. You own the visual execution, layout, rhythm and polish. We own the brand direction, the content and the technical review. We want your judgment. If you see a better solution than the brief suggests, we want to hear it. What we do not want is a generic template look or a default AI look. Stack Next.js 14 (App Router), TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, deployed on Vercel. Git-based workflow. Style we care about Premium and restrained. Generous whitespace, clean typography, clear hierarchy, considered detail. Calm and precise over loud and crowded. Process This starts with one small paid test: a single real section built from a short brief and guardrails, not a locked spec. If it goes well, we move into steady, long-term work. Language English. Not a fit WordPress, Webflow or Wix builders. Developers who can only execute a pixel-perfect spec and do not design. Anyone who ignores brand guardrails and just does their own thing regardless of the frame.
