Node/Azure developer — ongoing part-time, must work Australian business hours

bout us We are an Australian managed services provider. We build and run a suite of web applications for a long-standing client, and we build automation and integrations across our wider client base. We are looking for ongoing part-time development capacity working alongside our own team — not a one-off project. The stack - Node.js and TypeScript on Azure Functions - Static front ends on Azure Blob behind Azure Front Door - Azure Key Vault and managed identity for secrets - GitHub and GitHub Actions (OIDC) for deployment; Bicep for infrastructure - Server-side account and session handling, password reset, transactional email - Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Graph integrations — mail, identity, files, Teams - Claude integrated into our products through a server-side API proxy This is code, not low-code. We are not looking for Power Platform, Dataverse or Make.com experience. What the work looks like Feature work across the product suite, integration work across client systems, and the tests and deployment notes that go with them. Branch, test, pull request, deploy. Nothing reaches production unreviewed. What we need - 5+ years shipping production software you owned end to end, not just contributed to - Strong Node.js and TypeScript, and Azure in practice rather than on a certificate - Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Graph in practice — app registrations, delegated versus application permissions, admin consent, token handling. Most of our integration work sits on this platform - Sound security instincts around authentication, secrets and data handling - Daily use of agentic AI tools to ship real work. Claude Code is what we run here; Copilot, Cursor or equivalent counts. Be ready to show us what you built with it and where you caught the tool getting it wrong - Comfortable vibe coding — building fast from a rough brief with an agentic tool, then reading, testing and hardening what it produced before it merges. How you check the output matters to us as much as how quickly you got there - Working hours that overlap Australian business hours, Monday to Friday. This is a hard requirement, not a preference How we work Ongoing hourly engagement with a weekly cap. We start with one paid, well-scoped piece of work before any longer commitment.
