Oystehr / Ottehr Developer Needed — FHIR, Clinical Workflows & UI Configuration

We are developing a specialty healthcare access platform using Oystehr/Ottehr as our underlying clinical infrastructure and EHR framework. We have an existing technical team and are looking for an experienced developer to help accelerate configuration and customization of our Oystehr/Ottehr environment. This is not a project to build an EHR from scratch. We need someone who can work within the existing Oystehr/Ottehr architecture, understand FHIR-based healthcare workflows, and help our team configure and customize the platform for our clinical operations. Initial responsibilities The developer will help us with: Configure and customize the Oystehr/Ottehr environment Configure FHIR resources and clinical workflows Customize Provider, Patient, Medical Assistant, and operational user experiences Configure user roles, permissions, and access policies Configure provider and patient scheduling workflows Help address provider availability and cross-location scheduling issues Configure patient registration and intake workflows Implement and troubleshoot FHIR Questionnaires and Questionnaire Responses Configure clinical documentation and note templates Support telehealth workflows Configure tasks, referrals, communications, and care coordination workflows Configure Zambdas and backend workflow logic where appropriate Troubleshoot existing configuration and UI issues Work collaboratively with our CTO and technical team Document configuration and code so our internal team can maintain it Potential integrations Our platform may utilize: Google Gemini / AI services Google Workspace APIs External EHR/FHIR APIs Experience integrating healthcare applications with third-party APIs is helpful. Oystehr and/or Ottehr FHIR / HL7 FHIR R4 TypeScript / JavaScript React REST APIs OAuth 2.0 Healthcare application development Role-based access control / IAM Clinical workflows API integrations Git/GitHub Experience with Oystehr's FHIR API, Zambda, Z3, IAM/access policies, scheduling, telemedicine, or Ottehr customization is highly desirable. Important We are not looking for someone to replace our existing technical team or redesign the entire platform. We are looking for a hands-on developer who can work with our team to accelerate Oystehr/Ottehr implementation, solve specific technical problems, and help us get the MVP into production. We expect this engagement to begin with a defined set of configuration and development tasks. Strong performance could lead to ongoing work as the platform expands into additional specialties.
