Senior Industrial Electrical Designer

Industrial Systems Consulting (ISC) is a U.S.-based engineering consulting firm supporting clients in the oil & gas, food & beverage, mining, utilities, and industrial manufacturing industries. We are building a long-term nearshore engineering team to support our U.S. engineering staff and are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Designer interested in becoming an extension of our engineering organization. This is not a one-time drafting project. We are looking to establish long-term relationships with professionals who can consistently produce high-quality engineering deliverables under ISC standards and quality processes. As our workload grows, this opportunity has the potential to become a significant and recurring engagement. Typical Responsibilities You will work under the direction of our U.S. engineering team to produce industrial electrical design packages, including: One-line diagrams Three-line diagrams MCC layouts Power distribution drawings Cable schedules Cable tray layouts Raceway layouts Instrument wiring diagrams Junction box drawings Panel layouts Control panel drawings Electrical demolition plans Electrical installation details As-built drawing updates Redline incorporation AutoCAD drawing production Required Experience 5+ years of industrial electrical design experience AutoCAD proficiency AutoCAD Electrical experience preferred Industrial facilities experience Oil & Gas, Mining, Utilities, Food & Beverage, or Chemical Plant experience Ability to interpret P&IDs Experience reading electrical one-line diagrams Experience producing construction drawing packages Preferred Experience AutoCAD Plant 3D Instrumentation design PLC/I&C drawings Hazardous area installations Motor Control Centers (MCCs) Medium Voltage systems North American electrical standards Communication Spanish is acceptable English proficiency is preferred Must be responsive during U.S. business hours for coordination meetings Software Please indicate your experience with: AutoCAD AutoCAD Electrical Plant 3D Bluebeam Microsoft Teams Autodesk Construction Cloud Microsoft Office To Apply Please include the following: Resume LinkedIn profile Years of industrial electrical design experience Industries worked in AutoCAD experience Plant 3D experience (if applicable) English proficiency Typical hourly rate Weekly availability Internet speed Country and city of residence Important Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a paid technical design exercise representative of the work performed for our industrial clients.
