Web Developer Required

I am not looking for a simple brochure website. The current site has been built by Hostinger's AI backend and it's awful as you can see. It is not possible to alter it outside of the Hostinger environment and I will need full control to adapt images and text myself, which Hostinger does not allow. So I need a complete new site with a proper membership/user-account system, protected members-only content and an easy-to-manage backend. I'd like you to review the websites and provide a proposal for building a similar site with family camping club branding, content and design. ### Main requirements The website needs to include: * A professional, modern and mobile-responsive design * Public-facing pages that anyone can access * A member signup/registration system * Member login/logout * Forgotten password/password reset functionality * Secure member accounts * A members-only area * Pages/content that are only accessible to logged-in members * The ability for me to add, edit and remove members-only pages/content * The ability to add new members-only sections in the future * An administrator/backend area where I can manage the website and members * A database for securely storing member/account information * Email notifications for registration, password resets and other relevant account actions * The ability to add HTML content to pages when required ### Content management I need to be able to manage the website myself after it has been built. Ideally, I should be able to: * Create new pages * Edit existing pages * Edit text and headings * Upload/change images * Add HTML * Add links * Create members-only content * Move or reorganise content * Manage adverts * Manage members * Make changes without having to ask a developer every time Please explain what CMS/backend you recommend and why. ### Advertising The website will generate revenue from advertising, so I need properly designed advertising areas throughout the site. I need the developer to build flexible advert slots where I can later add: * Image adverts * HTML adverts * JavaScript advert code * Google advertising/AdSense or similar advertising systems * Potentially different adverts in different areas of the website The advert areas should be responsive and work correctly on desktop and mobile. I'd also like the advert system to be flexible enough that I can change adverts without having to alter the site's underlying code. ### Members-only functionality The members' area is particularly important. I need proper access control so that protected content cannot simply be accessed by somebody who isn't logged in by guessing or copying a URL. Please explain how you would implement authentication and protect members-only pages. I'd also like the system to be capable of having different membership/access levels in the future if required. ### Security Security is very important because the website will contain member information. I need the site to follow good current web security practices, including: * Secure password storage/hashing * Secure authentication * Protection against common web attacks * Secure database practices * HTTPS/SSL * Secure admin access * Appropriate session management * Protection of members-only content * Regular backups * GDPR-conscious handling of personal information Please explain your approach to website security and backups. ### Technical requirements I'm looking for someone with proven experience in: * Full-stack web development * HTML5 * CSS * JavaScript * Backend development * Database development * CMS development * Membership/user authentication systems * Responsive/mobile development * Website security * SEO * Website performance optimisation * Hosting/deployment * Analytics * Advertising integrations Experience with WordPress/custom CMS development is useful, but I'm open to your recommendation if you believe another technology would be more appropriate. ### SEO and performance The website should be built with SEO and performance in mind. I'd like: * SEO-friendly URLs * Editable page titles/meta descriptions * Fast page loading * Mobile optimisation * Proper heading structure * Image optimisation * XML sitemap * Google Search Console compatibility * Google Analytics/GA4 integration * Appropriate redirects and canonical URLs where required ### Ownership and handover An important requirement is that I own the website and everything associated with it when the project is completed. Please confirm that I will receive: * Full ownership of the website * Source code * Database * Website files * Admin access * Hosting access * Domain/DNS access where applicable * Any design/source files created specifically for the project I don't want the website to be locked into your own proprietary system, I wish to have it hosted on a plan that I already have.
