WordPress Designer & Developer Needed - Website Modernization

Project Overview We're looking for a skilled WordPress designer/developer to give our existing business/portfolio website a full visual and functional revamp. The site works but the design feels dated, and we want a modern, polished look that better reflects our brand and converts visitors into leads/clients. This is a redesign, not a from-scratch build — you'll be working with our existing content and site structure, but we're open to a new theme, updated layout, and improved UX throughout. What We're Looking For A fresh, modern design (we can share reference sites/brands we like) Improved homepage layout and clearer calls-to-action Mobile-responsive design that looks great on all devices Clean, professional typography and visual hierarchy Faster load times as part of the redesign (not just a design refresh) Basic SEO best practices maintained/improved during the rebuild Scope of Work Audit current site (design, structure, content, plugins) Propose 1–2 design directions/mockups for approval before full build Rebuild/redesign pages in WordPress (theme customization or new theme — your recommendation) Migrate existing content into the new design Test across browsers and devices Basic training/handoff so we can make simple content updates ourselves Ideal Skills & Experience Strong portfolio of WordPress redesign projects (please share links) Proficiency with page builders (Elementor, Divi, or similar) or custom theme development Solid understanding of responsive design and UX principles Experience with WordPress performance optimization Good communication skills and ability to work from a brief/mockup Budget This is a fixed-price project.
