WordPress Developer – Convert Hardcoded Custom PHP Theme into Editable Block Theme (FSE)

We are looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to migrate our existing custom corporate website from a hardcoded classic PHP theme into a modern, fully editable Block Theme (Full Site Editing / FSE). Currently, all page layouts, homepage sections, credential blocks, and blog metrics are hardcoded directly into the theme's raw template files (front-page.php, single.php, etc.). This leaves our WordPress dashboard page editor completely blank and locks our internal website manager out of making basic text or layout updates. Your Scope of Work: 1. Review our existing custom theme folder inside our GoDaddy hosting server files. 2. Recreate our exact visual design, dark blue styling, cards, and layouts using native WordPress Gutenberg Blocks or custom ACF Blocks. 3. Re-engineer the backend so that our non-technical website manager can completely edit all homepage text, metrics, headlines, and blog layouts visually from the default dashboard. 4. Bonus Phase: Help us restructure our /resources/ archive page into a dynamic, filtered grid layout (using category filters and search inputs). Requirements: 1. Proven experience with custom WordPress theme development, PHP, FSE, and Gutenberg block structure. 2. Experience handling backend migrations without losing current content or harming active SEO rankings (Yoast). 3. Clear communication and ability to work securely via hosting environment permissions.
