Workflow Automation Engineer

StackGo makes IdentityCheck, an identity verification and anti-money-laundering (AML) platform used by hundreds of Australian accounting firms, legal practices and property groups. It plugs into the systems they already use: HubSpot, Xero Practice Manager, FYI, Karbon, Pipedrive and Zapier. New Australian regulation means our customers are onboarding fast, and each one wants their workflow set up slightly differently. We need one person who owns that work end to end. What you'll do - Take requirements on client calls, then write a short spec before you build, and get it signed off - Build and maintain HubSpot workflows and integrations: properties, triggers, associations, and writing verification results and PDFs back to the CRM - Build Zapier automations where we don't have a native integration - Configure onboarding forms and verification workflows for each client - Write clear help documentation that customers read - Turn repeat requests into reusable templates You must have - 3+ years building integrations or automations in production, not just personal projects - Real HubSpot experience: workflows, custom properties, associations and the API - Zapier, Make or n8n in production - REST APIs and webhooks: reading docs, authentication, debugging someone else's integration - Written and spoken English strong enough to work directly with Australian clients - You work from outcomes, not a task list, and you say early when something is off track Nice to have: KYC, AML or other regulated work; Xero Practice Manager, FYI or Karbon; JavaScript or Python. Not this role: core product development, design or sales. Details: full-time and dedicated to StackGo, with at least 4 hours a day overlapping Sydney business hours. 6-month initial contract with clear intent to extend.
