Backend Engineer for Web3 / NFT Marketplace

- About the project We are developing CryptoKet, a Web3 NFT marketplace that enables users to create, mint, list, purchase, and resell NFTs using blockchain technology. The current application is built with Next.js, React, Solidity, Hardhat, ethers.js, MetaMask/Web3Modal, and IPFS. The existing implementation demonstrates the core NFT marketplace workflow, but we are now taking the project to the next level and building a production-ready, scalable, secure NFT marketplace platform. We are looking for a Backend Engineer with strong Web3/blockchain experience to design and implement the backend infrastructure that will support marketplace data, indexing, search, analytics, user profiles, APIs, and blockchain event processing. This is not a conventional CRUD backend position. The engineer must understand how a backend system should work alongside smart contracts and blockchain networks, while keeping the blockchain as the source of truth for ownership and transactions. - Your Mission Your primary responsibility will be to build the backend and data infrastructure that connects the blockchain layer with the marketplace application. The backend must remain synchronized with blockchain activity while treating the blockchain as the authoritative source for asset ownership and transactions.
