Developer wanted to investigate mySongBook .msb to Guitar Pro .gp conversion

I am looking for an experienced software developer to investigate whether it is technically feasible to create an application that can take the musical notation and associated score data contained in, or represented by, a mySongBook `.msb` file and reconstruct that information as a standard Guitar Pro `.gp` file, and if so, complete the application. AI can be used to assist. The objective is not simply to rename or superficially convert the file. I need someone who can investigate how mySongBook/Guitar Pro represents the score data, determine what information is available from the `.msb` file and the normal operation of Guitar Pro, and assess whether that information can be reconstructed into a normal editable Guitar Pro file. What I would like investigated The first stage would be a technical feasibility investigation. I would like the developer to determine: 1. What an `.msb` mySongBook file actually contains and how its internal structure is organised. 2. Whether the file itself contains the musical score information, or whether some or all of the information is loaded or generated elsewhere when Guitar Pro opens it. 3. What musical information can be recovered or reconstructed, including, where available: - notes and pitches - note durations - rests - measures/bars - time signatures - key signatures - tempo and tempo changes - tracks and instruments - guitar tablature - tunings - rhythmic notation - dynamics - articulations - bends - slides - hammer-ons and pull-offs - palm muting - harmonics - lyrics - chord names and chord diagrams - repeats - alternate endings - section markers - automation or other Guitar Pro score information 4. Whether the information available is sufficient to construct a valid `.gp` file that opens normally in Guitar Pro. 5. Whether an intermediate format such as MusicXML would be useful, for example: `.msb` or accessible score data to internal representation or MusicXML to `.gp` or whether direct generation of a `.gp` file would preserve more information. 6. What information, if any, cannot realistically be reproduced. 7. This processed to be automated via the app. If the format or application uses technical protection that would have to be circumvented for the proposed converter to work, I want the developer to identify that limitation during the feasibility stage rather than bypass it. If the feasibility investigation shows that conversion is technically viable within those constraints, I would then like the same developer, if suitable, to build a small application that automates the process. Ideally the finished application would allow a user to: 1. Select or drag and drop an `.msb` file. 2. Analyse the available score information. 3. Reconstruct the notation and tablature. 4. Export the result as a valid `.gp` Guitar Pro file. 5. Produce a report identifying anything that could not be reproduced accurately. Batch conversion would also be useful if technically practical. A macOS application is my main requirement, although a cross-platform application supporting macOS and Windows would be preferable if this does not substantially increase development complexity. A command-line proof of concept would be perfectly acceptable before development of a graphical interface. I would expect: - analysis of sample `.msb` files that I provide and am authorised to use - explanation of the apparent file structure and data available - identification of what score elements can and cannot be recovered - a small proof of concept, where practical, demonstrating extraction or reconstruction of some score information - assessment of whether a complete `.gp` export application is feasible - recommendation for the best technical approach - estimate of the work required for the full application Please do not claim that this can definitely be done before examining the format.
