React Native Dev (TypeScript/Firebase) — Bug Fixes & QA, Weekends 7am PST Required, 40 hrs/wk

Dialed Health is a wellness marketplace app on iOS and Android — a social community, an event marketplace, paid 1:1 and group training, an e-commerce store, and smart sauna / cold-plunge controls in one app. Members find and book classes, sessions, and events; hosts (gyms, personal trainers, instructors, run clubs, sport clubs) manage their schedule, bookings, and payouts. We ship a new build every week. Our lead developer works Monday–Friday Pacific time and submits to Apple on Thursday; the build releases Friday. We're hiring a second developer whose job is to keep the app stable around that cycle: QA the release candidate before it goes to Apple, watch the Friday release, and own bug coverage through the weekend when no one else is on. This is a long-term, hourly, 40 hrs/week role. We pay reliably every week through Upwork and treat this as a permanent position on the team. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Fix bugs across the app (UI, navigation, data, payments, push) and open clean PRs against our repo - Run a regression pass on each Thursday release candidate and flag/fix blockers before submission - Monitor crash reports and user-reported issues after Friday's release; ship hotfixes and get them through store review when needed - Triage and reproduce issues reported over the weekend; write a short end-of-shift report each day so the lead dev picks up seamlessly Monday - Occasionally take small, well-defined feature tickets when the bug queue is quiet SCHEDULE — THIS IS FIXED, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY 5 days, 40 hours per week on US Pacific time. (Kyiv is exactly 10 hours ahead; local times shown for reference.) - Thursday: 5:00am–1:00pm PT (3:00pm–11:00pm Kyiv) - Friday: 5:00am–1:00pm PT (3:00pm–11:00pm Kyiv) - SATURDAY: 7:00am–3:00pm PT (5:00pm–1:00am Kyiv) - SUNDAY: 7:00am–3:00pm PT (5:00pm–1:00am Kyiv) - Monday: 5:00am–1:00pm PT (3:00pm–11:00pm Kyiv) - Tuesday and Wednesday off Weekend hours are the core of the role and are not negotiable. Weekday hours overlap with our lead developer for handoff and are slightly flexible. TECH STACK - Frontend: React Native + TypeScript, with native modules in Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android) - Backend: TypeScript on Google Cloud Functions - Database: Firebase / Firestore - Payments: Stripe (incl. Connect) · Payouts: Dot - Other: Push (APNs/FCM), transactional email/SMS, Apple & Google Sign-In, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi smart-device control YOU MUST HAVE - 3+ years building and shipping production React Native apps to BOTH the App Store and Google Play, including maintaining them after launch - Strong TypeScript on the frontend and in Cloud Functions - Hands-on Firebase / Firestore experience — data modeling, security rules, real-time listeners, debugging Cloud Function logs - Comfort in native code when RN isn't enough: reading Xcode / Android Studio logs, fixing build and permission issues, small Swift/Kotlin changes - Stripe integration experience (Payment Intents, Connect, webhooks) - Experience with the App Store / Play release process, including expedited review and staged rollouts - Clear written English — most communication is async in Slack/GitHub - Reliable availability for the exact schedule above, every week NICE TO HAVE - Push notification infrastructure (APNs/FCM) and deep linking with React Navigation - Crashlytics / Sentry triage - Marketplace / two-sided platform experience (hosts + members, bookings, payouts); Dot or similar payout providers - Smart-device / Bluetooth integrations - Prior experience as the "second dev" on a small team, or in a support/maintenance role - Daily use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) with good judgment about when not to trust them HOW WE HIRE 1.
