Senior Full-Stack Engineer (AI-Native) - Full-Time, Long-Term

We are a small product team building AI-powered software, and we're adding one senior engineer to the team. This is a single individual role - not an agency, not a dev shop. We want one person who will own their work end to end and grow with the project long term. What you'll do: - Own features end to end: design, build, test, ship, and maintain them in production - Build and improve the AI systems at the core of our product (LLM integrations, RAG pipelines, agents, tool use, evals) - Work AI-natively: use modern AI coding tools to move fast, while keeping code quality, tests, and reviews high - Help us scope work, make architecture calls, and raise the engineering bar as we grow the team What we're looking for: - 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong fundamentals background - Strong Python and/or TypeScript, plus solid experience with APIs, databases, and cloud deployment - Real production experience with LLMs: prompt design, RAG, agent frameworks, evaluation, cost and latency tuning - Fluent written and spoken English and clear, proactive communication - Available full time (around 40 hours per week) with substantial daily overlap with our working hours, and not juggling several other contracts How we work: - Weekly paid milestones, regular check-ins, and direct access to the founder - Long-term engagement with room to take on more ownership over time - We start with a small paid trial task so we can both see if it's a fit When you apply, please answer these in your own words (short and specific beats long and generic): 1.
