Senior HighLevel + WordPress Developer & Automation Architect — Ongoing Partnership We are looking for a senior, hands-on developer to become a trusted technical partner across several of our internal brands and client projects. Our work sits at the intersection of: * HighLevel/GoHighLevel website development * WordPress development and troubleshooting * CRM and marketing automation * Forms, surveys, assessments, and lead-generation systems * API, webhook, Zapier, and Make integrations * High-quality, brand-faithful responsive design This is not a virtual-assistant role or a basic template-building position. We need someone who can diagnose complex problems, make thoughtful technical decisions, and execute polished work without requiring constant supervision. ## Initial Projects ### 1. Refine an AI-Built HighLevel Website We have created a one-page HighLevel website using its AI builder. The site already has an approved brand guide, copy, wireframe, page structure, and design direction. The AI builder produced a useful starting point, but the site now requires careful manual refinement by someone with strong visual and front-end development skills. The work will include: * Manually refining individual sections without rebuilding or damaging the approved structure * Improving typography, spacing, hierarchy, image treatment, and visual rhythm * Removing generic AI-builder styling and bringing the site up to a polished, professional standard * Ensuring the final design faithfully follows the provided brand guide * Optimizing the site across desktop, tablet, and mobile * Connecting buttons, anchor links, forms, and calls to action * Keeping the website native and editable within HighLevel * Applying custom CSS, HTML, or JavaScript where necessary The desired aesthetic is clean, timeless, grounded, editorial, and highly intentional—not a generic funnel filled with gradients, excessive cards, shadows, decorative icons, or stock-looking AI imagery. ### 2. Diagnose and Repair WordPress–HighLevel Integrations We have an existing WordPress website integrated with HighLevel, but parts of the system are no longer working reliably. Some forms show errors, and the expected tags, contact updates, workflows, and email automations do not always fire correctly. We need someone who can: * Audit the complete WordPress-to-HighLevel submission path * Identify conflicting plugins, duplicated integrations, broken field mappings, webhook failures, or workflow configuration problems * Trace submissions from the browser through the WordPress form, contact record, tags, workflows, and outgoing communications * Review logs and webhook payloads rather than relying on guesswork * Recommend the simplest reliable architecture * Repair the existing system and test all relevant scenarios * Document the final integration so it can be maintained in the future Our WordPress environment may include Divi, Elementor, native HighLevel embeds, WordPress form plugins, webhooks, and third-party automation tools. ### 3. Build HighLevel Surveys and Assessments We are also developing interactive assessments for internal and client projects. One upcoming assessment needs to: * Collect business-performance information * Calculate scores across several categories * Rank the categories from most urgent to least urgent * Correctly handle tied scores * Generate an overall result * Store results in the contact’s HighLevel profile and relevant custom fields * Apply appropriate tags and workflow actions * Email personalized results and a summary to the respondent * Notify the appropriate team members * Direct the respondent toward a consultation or next step Experience building scored assessments, quizzes, calculators, or diagnostic surveys in HighLevel—or extending HighLevel when its native tools are insufficient—is highly desirable. ## Ongoing Work For the right person, this can become a long-term working relationship involving: * New HighLevel websites and landing pages * WordPress development and maintenance * Forms, surveys, quizzes, calendars, and pipelines * Email and SMS workflows * Lead nurturing and client onboarding systems * API and webhook integrations * Zapier, Make, and Google Sheets integrations * Workflow audits and repairs * Analytics, conversion tracking, and quality assurance * Technical documentation and recorded walkthroughs ## Required Experience Please apply only if you have strong, recent, hands-on experience with most of the following: * HighLevel/GoHighLevel websites and funnels * HighLevel forms, surveys, quizzes, workflows, custom fields, tags, pipelines, calendars, and automations * WordPress development and troubleshooting * Divi and/or Elementor * HTML, CSS, and JavaScript * Responsive and mobile-first implementation * WordPress plugin conflicts and form integrations * APIs, webhooks, and payload debugging * Zapier and/or Make * CRM architecture and contact-field mapping * Email automation and basic deliverability configuration * Safe staging, backups, testing, and production deployment * Translating brand guides and wireframes into polished webpages Familiarity with PHP, browser developer tools, Postman or similar API-testing tools, HighLevel snapshots, and multi-client account management is a strong advantage. ## Working Style We value someone who: * Investigates the root cause before applying a patch * Can explain technical decisions in clear language * Takes ownership of outcomes, not merely assigned clicks * Is careful when editing live systems * Tests workflows from beginning to end * Communicates proactively when a decision or dependency is required * Provides concise documentation or recorded walkthroughs * Has excellent visual judgment and attention to detail * Keeps current with HighLevel as the platform evolves Individual freelancers are preferred. Small agencies may apply only if the senior person presented in the proposal will personally perform and remain accountable for the work. ## Engagement We intend to begin with a small paid pilot project and move into an ongoing hourly relationship if the work is successful.
