Senior Magento 2 Developer for Website Performance, Security & Infrastructure Audit

We are looking for a **highly experienced Senior Magento 2 developer/architect** to perform a comprehensive independent technical audit of our recently launched e-commerce website. The site has recently undergone a major redevelopment/migration. Since launch, we have experienced several intermittent and unexpected issues, including problems affecting cart functionality, customer accounts/passwords, mobile pages, checkout/order processing, rewards, and other areas. We currently have a development team; however, we want an **independent expert to thoroughly audit the entire website and technical environment** and identify any problems, misconfigurations, coding issues, performance concerns, or potential points of failure. **This is NOT simply a visual/QA audit.** We need someone capable of going deep into the Magento installation, custom code, extensions, integrations, server configuration, logs, cron jobs, caching/CDN configuration, database, APIs, and checkout process. The audit should include, at minimum: * Magento 2 core configuration and overall architecture * Custom modules and custom code quality * Third-party extensions and potential conflicts * Magento logs and server/error logs * Cron jobs and scheduled processes * Indexers and queues * Cache configuration, Varnish/Redis if applicable, and Cloudflare * Server/hosting configuration and resource issues * Database health and performance * Desktop and mobile functionality * Product/catalog/category functionality * Add-to-cart and shopping cart * Checkout and order creation * Customer registration, login, password reset and migrated customer accounts * Discounts/promotions and pricing calculations * Rewards/loyalty functionality * Payment integrations, including ACH and other payment methods * Shipping and ShipStation integration * Transactional emails * APIs and third-party integrations * Security and permissions * Performance and page-loading issues * Any errors, outdated components, poor development practices, or vulnerabilities that could cause future outages We also want the developer to **test the complete customer journey from beginning to end**, on both desktop and mobile. ### Deliverable At the completion of the audit, we want a **written report** that clearly identifies: 1. Problems discovered 2. Severity of each problem — Critical / High / Medium / Low 3. Probable cause 4. Recommended solution 5. Estimated effort required to correct it 6. Any areas of the site that are unstable or likely to cause future problems 7. An overall assessment of the quality and stability of the current Magento implementation **Please do not make any changes to the production website during the initial audit without our authorization.** We want the audit and diagnosis completed first. This initial project is specifically for the independent audit. However, **we are open to establishing a long-term relationship with the right developer or development team** to implement the recommendations and potentially take over ongoing Magento development, maintenance, and support. ### Required Experience We are looking for someone with **significant Magento 2 experience**, preferably at a senior developer, technical lead, or Magento architect level.
